I just found this thread -- after I posted my results (http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=255360). You're obviously using some software, whereas I just take some notes by hand. I haven't compared our results yet, but I'll do that now.

Edit -- Which game are you counting as a break and run for Shane? My records show none.

I believe Shane was first to have break and run, although only once during race to 25.

S.G.

that would be game #26

hmmm.. I just watched game 26 on the loop. Score was 13-12 and I'm watching that game. Shane broke (Earl dogged the 9 ball in the game before) and made 2 balls. I looked away for a second and Earl was shooting, so Shane must have rolled out or something, but I watched Earl hit a ball and then Shane ran out.

Not sure that would be a break and run, or was it different game?

Edit: At the end of Game 29 as Earl was racking, Jerry made the comment, I believe that was the 1st break and run we've had all night, referring to Game 29 that was ran by Earl.

Calired,

by all means if i missed something or something isn't exactly correct please point that out and i will adjust my records....as you know its tough sometimes...I was sitting next to Mark G. and we both remember Shane breaking and running a rack...maybe with the looped video someone will find which rack it was.

Shane pushed out after the break in game 26, so it wasn't a B&R. Zero B&R's for Shane in my book. I agree with you that it's tough to keep the focus to catch everything in these long matches.

Edit: TorranceChris posted this in the other thread: "Just happened to catch TAR loop right at that game. Shane pushed out and then ran the rack after Earl's safety attempt failed. Interesting that SVB didn't do a single BNR!"

I will double check when i get to the studio today and change records if correct, thanks for pointing that out.

Yup; my notes confirm that you are correct.

So, if they are playing three fouls, did Earl just miss that call entirely?

The announcers said nothing about it either.

It clearly cost Earl a game if they are playing three fouls.

I'm guessing it was an oversight. Earl played two safeties and made 3 balls in the middle of Shane's fouls, so they may just have forgotten that Shane was on two before the scratch.

That's my guess too. Big mental mistake by Earl.
