Is your life so pathetic, you feel you need to challenge people to play pool for money from the internet? Why would I waste 5 minutes on my next vacation to play you in pool? In your mind, do you equate success in life the same as success on a pool table?

Seriously Mr. Troll, please stop cyber-stalking me...

S long as the wife and mother in law lets ya :)

I guess here is the issue. Let's recap for the general public reading this. I mentioned in the Olney thread that I was visiting Disney with my with my 2 year old twin boys and my wife and we were seeing other family. You sent me a PM to give a call when I got down and you would pick me up (cuz we were not renting a vehicle) and I would go with you to your league night, check out some of your Olney cues and have some beers. I neglected to call you. It had slipped my mind. I had sent you a PM apologizing for my mistake.

Then ON ANOTHER FORUM, I mentioned your name as a league player cuz some nit mentioned playing for money and he said he lived in Florida. I metioned your name and somehow you thought it was a derogotory comment about your ability. I have played in the APA since 1999. I have met my wife and my best friends through the APA. I used to play in the same division as a guy named Pete Genovese who placed in the top 3 of the U.S. Amateur 3 year in a row. One year he even won the event. He was a great friggin pool player who was invited to play in a Pro event after that. Do you think that I would say a "league" player has no skills? You are incorrect.

Fast forward to the above post. Now you are posting this $hit that I need my wife or my mother-in-laws permission to play you for money? Are you on drugs?

Move on and stalk someone else. I don't see why you should give a flying fvck what cues I buy, post in the gallery and then turn around sell. None of this makes sense...

Beautiful cue! If you let me play with it for a couple of weeks, I would be willing to provide my unbiased opinion.;)

Beautiful cue. That's what I play with too. It took some getting used to but I love the way it plays. I wish I had $1 for every time a banger asked me about the missing bumper.

Really nice cue, Chris. Elegant and classic. The Petes make one of the best hitting cues out there IMO.

Chris,
I am thinking about having a bumperless hoppe built. How do you best protect against chipping the butt? I realize just being uber careful helps, I am just wondering if their are any other tips. I could have pm'ed this, but I was drooling again over this amazing cue, and figured I would just ask here. That really is one of the nicest Tascs I have ever seen in this classic style. You have excellent taste, my friend.

The best way to avoid chipping the butt is to never set the cue down. The best way to never set the cue down is to never miss.

Problem solved.

I have played with mine for two years and have banged the butt on the table numerous times. The finish that Pete uses is darn near indestructible. The butt has not a scratch on it, and I definitely have hit it hard enough to put a chip in. I know, because I had three other cues and they all chipped with the same use.

Braden, if I'm standing waiting from my turn to shoot, I rest the cue on my toe instead of the floor. Most of the places where I play have carpet. I've had mine since August and don't have any signs of damage. The phenolic that Pete uses is very hard to scratch.

Hi Braden,

Be very careful. That is probably the best advice. As you know, I have several that are bumperless. Murray Tucker made the weight bolt and a rubber bumper that fits the same hole. It works flawlessly.

Thank you everybody for the compliments. I was told the cue was only a few years old but since then I have found out it is about 12 years old. And it's as straight as an arrow...

Thanks guys, all of you, for the advice.

That really shocks me that the cue is 12 years old. It looks brand-new.

This is the advice I will try to utilize the most!

Thanks my friend.
