First let me say I am glad to see that the cue sold and I know you will really enjoy it when you get on the felt or like me just admiring the construction using magnification loops.
As for your question:
I just received direct my Pete a new cue to make a total of 5 I am keeping.
I have 2 SS piloted joints, 2 Ivory over SS joints and a 3/8" pin with SS sleeve.
Here are links to 3 of my cues...
There is a small difference in feel between the full SS joint and the sleeved joint.
The ivory over stainless provides less feedback and there is less mass.
Since my daily player happens to be a Searing half joint, I find the ivory over SS joint by Tasc is much easier for me to adjust to (as an amateur it takes me a few hours if not days to adjust to another cue).
Congrat's to the new acquisition and enjoy it - the cue is beautiful for sure.
