So I was sitting here thinking (dangerous, I know). We all know that the Straight Pool forum here on AZB is BY FAR the best forum of the lot. Or, at the very least, we believe it. That reminds me of another group that is being discussed in the main forum which believes their little forum is superior to the other forums.
Frankly, it isn't fair that they have a catchy name while we do not. How can we claim Forum Superiority without a catchy name? Now, what we need to move forward here is a fearless leader to step up and lend his, or her, image to our cause. I'm thinking of Blackjack since, aside from being a huge contributor to this forum, I believe it was him who actually lobbied to get this forum created. And, lastly, his nickname is catchy in its own right. How can OUR forum not be superior with a catchy (times 2) name like "Blackjack's Army"?
I would offer my own name but, alas, we already have a "JimBo's Army" and "Jimmy's Army", or any other other variation of my name, would simply invoke the image of a knock-off, or a spin-off, which we are definitely not (are we?)!
So, here are some suggestions:
"BlackJack's Army" (our little secret logo can be the ace and king of spades)
"Jewett's Army" (our secret logo can be an apple (subtle reference to Newton).)
"Bluepepper's Army" (secret logo? What else? The Wei Table!)
"Lipsky's Army" (I'm drawing a blank on the logo here. Maybe the universal New Yorker symbol for "hello" - the middle finger! We can work on this later.)
Alright. The caffeine is wearing off and that's all I have.
Peace out, 'n s**t.
