Hope I'm not duplicating a thread here. Lets hear some of your team names.
I named our 4 player team, Takin' A Break. I play Scotch doubles with my girlfriend. She chose The Fa Cues. I know we ripped the name off the internet but it is a good one and we couldn't resist.
 
If the Fa Cues team name is for an APA team, it will probably get disallowed if you qualify for the national championships. They have a long list of disallowed names and names that are close to that are already on the list.

I saw a name of a team once , although I can't remember where, that I thought was amusing.

375's - Are league is 5 man teams and if all players that night win the total team score if you add all set's is 375. So we went with "375's".

My team name is on the list but they didn't say anything to me when we went to Vegas for the team nationals a few months ago.

My team name is "Balls to the Wall" and it even says 2008 so it's because of us that the name is on there but they never changed our name.
 
Bad Table Manners

My APA 9 Ball team is called Only Half Right.
we have 8 players....4 righties, 4 lefties.
 
We have a 5 person team and it's 4 guys and 1 girl, so our capt was going to name the team "8 balls and A Pocket." :D

He changed it at the last minute, and now we're "The Goodfellas."

Dan has a posse'
Go Ahead and Hate Us (5th place, 9 ball this past year, name shortened, "GO Ahead")
Whatever!
 
We were "The Pink Elephants" for a while. That got a laugh regulalry.

Also there was a local team with all females and one male. The male was a young guy, maybe 19-20. They called themselves "Big Pimpin'". I thought that was clever.
 
Getting Old

As I am getting older, I have wanted to start a team with all over 55 Yr Old players. Of course the name "Old Farts" :rolleyes: always comes to mind, but with a slight play on words, I would use "Antiquated Flatulants":D . Maybe someday.

The disallowed name list is laughable anyway. I cannot imagine why some of the names are there. Your team name for example. I'm sure they have no idea as to the origin of the saying.

I was on a team that had its name (Kiss This) disallowed and got on the list in 2003. The team captain chose the name because of the song title that was popular then. While we were there playing, the song was playing regularly on the loudspeakers in the tournament room.
