Anybody know the outcome of this event? It was held in Tucson at Main Street Billards on the 8th.

AZPoolscene had no news on the results and I'm interested... So, any of you, from AZ, attend it?

Potier won..
8-ball was 5-4 Osborne
9-ball was 9-3 Potier
1-pocket was 2-1 Potier
It was a well played match and everyone seemed to enjoy the evening.

Terry O, are you a professional?

Being from vancouver, I'm well aware of Paul P's talent. What was the prize money payout and how many players entered?
Thanks, RJ

Terry Osborne is a Pro caliber player but never played in any Pro tour. he is a gentleman. He is very reserved and a man of very few words and he will make the stick talk for him.If Pros can be categorized into top, middle and bottom, he in my opinion will fall under the category of bottom.

Terry Osborne (trainer) is a world class player and is one of the best (top 5) players in Arizona. He is the raining all around state champion. He is a time tested "A" player with no weaknesses. Has lots of gamble and is well respected for his table manners and his ability.

Everybody in AZ knows who he is and when road players come to town they head straight to his table (just to donate) :)

I have heard him called Oakland Terry Osborne. So he may have some notable history there, as well...

Terry CAN play! He has been a good player for a long, long time. I had the misfortune to do battle with him on one road trip. He got me in 9-Ball, but I squeaked out a few games in One Pocket. Do you remember Terry? We were kids back then.
I agree with the gentleman part, but I would place him in the middle of the pack. The only better player that I saw out there was Koos Keizer, and maybe Babe Thompson at 14.1. Whatever happened to Koos? He was very strong.

Jay, agree with all Terry is a gentleman and an asset to the game. I last saw Koos when we had the pool room. He stopped in to visit for a while. He was or is living in Seattle area and plays poker. Rarely picks up a cue any more. He use to sit and watch me play when he was a teen. I left the area and quit playing pool. I heard later he hit em pretty sweet.

Years ago Potier was middle to lower -top quality.
I believe he finished 4th in the World Pool Championships one year.

Todays players are now so talented that he's now probably lower to lower- middle quality himself.Having said that he can still upset anyone in a given set on any given day.

Paul has been on the road for a while. Last time I saw him was in Osaka, Japan during the All Japan Championship. He was with his wife and he said he was going to do some traveling. He did not go to the KOH, nor the Derby. I hope he is doing alright. I am wondering if he is going to VF?

Terry, if you see Paul, please send him my regard.:)

I caught the Arizona State 8-Ball Championship last year and watching Terry play against the young guns of Arizona was like watching two people playing completely different games.

I am not surprised at all to hear he beat Potier in 8-Ball. I suspect he could do well on the IPT tour since he excels at 8-ball on the big table.

Not that he is a slouch at any of the games. He didn't win the Arizona All Around Championship last year by doing well in just one event. As a matter of fact, he pretty much had the title locked up before he even played the 8-ball event.
