Test Driving Tiger's New Hustlers

I picked up a batch of Tiger's new cues for photos, and I got a chance to test out their new line of hustler cues.

The cues are a typical full splice, with arrows inlaid over the inner point. These are nice looking cues using a variety of woods. Each cue has a radial pin joint and the Tiger X shaft.

The quality of the cues is top notch. They are built to last. The Tiger X shaft is a laminated shaft and feels and plays like a premium conventional shaft. Tiger uses the finest maple available. Their typical shaft weighs just under 4 ounces, and that's without an insert. I toured their shop and was amazed at the tight growth rings on their maple.

I tried out both the cocobolo and the purplehart and ebony cue. I liked the cocobolo fine, which played like most sneaky pete's, but I loved the purpleheart and ebony. The purpleheart forearm makes this cue a pile driver - I can't explain it but it is definitely a players cue.

Anyway, Tiger's cue are coming right along. I recommend them for those looking for a sneaky pete with a premium laminated shaft and all the other Tiger good stuff.

Heres a bump on an old thread for ya.

I got lucky to find one of these and pick it up this weekend, my favorite sneaky combo to, the purple heart and ebony
Man it's pretty, and for as old as it is, it's in great shape , it's a tank. Couldn't be happier. Tiger makes a hell of a product
