are there spots left?

There has been lots of response, but not a lot of entries as of yet. It went like this last year too and we ended up with 119 players.

Hope you can make it.

Looks interesting. I might have the formula,
2(nit)+bigtruck+3(big cash)=monster spot
both ladies are lovely and lefty, should be fun, see you there.

I just got off the phone with Gary the owner of GQ billiards and all the tables have been recovered, all balls and cue balls replaced, and the bleachers are ordered. new balls make a big difference.

It's getting close.

Awesome!

Wow! Gary just got "new balls" now? All right!

Hey Ray, I'll be there for this one. Been away for too long.

For the Texas Open I just secured The Candlewood Hotel right up the service road from G-Cue.

The rates are $69.00 for a studio with a king bed and $89.00 for a one bedroom with a pull out sofa.

This place is only about 1 year old and very well kept as I have stayed there twice and really enjoyed it both times.

To make reservations call 512-828-0899 and when calling DO NOT go to reservations on the phone, DIAL 0 and go straight to the hotel operator. Just mention the Texas Open or the pool tournament.

Again, this is a nice place.

If you incur any problems with reserving a room, ask for Jerry Siers. He is a good man.

The new Aramith pro balls were donated by A-Tex Family Fun Center in Austin so be sure to thank them at the event!

I believe G-Cue is also going to buy new racks and bridges as well.

Just played some there last night. The new cloth and balls are great.

I've gotten the impression that there will be a lot of big name pros playing this year. It should make this one of the best Opens in years. Heck, I signed up just hoping I last long enough to play one of the big boys...
