Texas Open at Skinny Bob's Sept 2-4th

This tournament ends on Sunday? Is that correct?

When does play start on Sunday and when do you expect the finals to be played?

Where is the list of players that have signed up so far?

no this will end late Monday. The time for the finals is anyones guess. ast year the finals went off late thirty and took forever but that won't happen this year.
I have the list but not my place to post it.

What???? I thought you were the GRAND QUESO, the big cheese doing the Texas Open.

No problemo if you cant list the players. I understand that just doing the tournament is a big job and if you can't list the players or update the brackets every five minutes like some of the people on az billiards expect for free is no big deal in my book.

I think listing players gets people excited. Seeing if one of their favorite players is going to be there so they will spend the money to go to the event.

I am hoping that Tito will make an appearance. Can you let me know if he will be there?
 
And what about the streaming Big truck. What is PPV and what days are free?

I also want to hear the war stories that Joe will be telling, is there a schedule for him to be doing that?

LMAO at this one. Joe Salazar was at one time one hell of a player and beat many very good players. At one time considered one of the best on the Bar Box.
joe and I go back to about 1973 and I love giving him the needling and he gets stirred up. It is just fun and he can handle it too.
As much as I give it to him, I have the utmost respect for Joe. As far as a schedule for Joe? That is wide open. All one has to do is just go talk to him.
FWIW, in Denver back in the early 70's I watched him dismamtle Craig Stevens on the bar table at a place called the Jolly roger Bar on Federal Blvd. That was the home of a young Danny Medina and many great players came through back then.
He is an entertaining guy!!
 
I am confused, it says texas open Sep 2-4 which is friday, saturday and sunday. Then someone said the finals are on Monday?

Maybe I am looking at the wrong calendar but mine says monday is the fifth.

This tournament ALWAYS ends after Midnight on Monday/Labor Day

Between 3-9am is my prediction. It's part of what makes the title so special. It's a grind.

I'll be there for the entire event. Till the last ball drops.

I'm guessing, with 128 males and 32 females on 14 tables, and toss is a few slow play matches, it, "I heard" kicked it out till Mon. last yr, but Mr. Jones is trying to reboot that situation. Contact Ironman for more specifics.

i can be blamed for all mistakes, I am accountable!!
i will issue one little bit of advice though, This is the Texas Open!! A few might think about that for a moment!!

After some thought on this I feel I should try and explain something. i stalled and stalled using a clock on these latter matches last year because I don't like them. time factor is one thing, but i love watching the game at it's best and I hate doing anything that takes away from that. Shot clocks get distracting and often confusing.
i am a tolerant guy and I feel a very fair guy. however, I will not tolerate stalling and grandstanding this year. So if self promotion is your focus, we may well butt heads this year and if I have to address the situation, right will be on my side!!
if this runs late, then it runs late, that is just the situation and everyone knows this going in. My tolerance for stalling and attention will be near a zero factor!!
However if everyone would just focus on the game played, I do'nt think any of these issues will arise.
