YES!!!!! Definately, a VERY tough field.
I am very proud of him!!!!! 4th isnt bad at all.
(He did mention the heat got to him a little)(Us washingtonians sure arent acclimated to the Texas heat!! LOL)

All of the players had a VERY LONG DAY!!!!
Congratulations to Shane,Gabe, and Shawn, I know Glenn loved competing in this tourney, with champions I might add. He had a blast!!!!!

It was a joy watching Glenn play! 4th place out of 128, not too shabby! Tell him I said hello next time you talk to him.

Also, Shawn Putnam lost his first match and still got 3rd. In one match on Monday morning he was down 4-0 and came back to win, too.

And Gabe was playing really well!! I am glad most of the final matches were close - shows how much talent was in the field. :)

And, to watch SVB play in person.... well, it was really, really cool!

Here's the breakdown for the men's

100x122= 12,200.00 (6 free entries)

12200+3250= 15,450.00 (750.00 added to the ladies)

Total paid out = 15,450.00 mens

The payout from the side pot was posted at the event and all of us that were there viewed it there.

The players appreciate all the accountants looking out for them!! Could someone please figure up the door money and drinks and beer sales profit, so we can make sure Gary & Kevin did OK too! LOL.

Sorry to disappoint all the conspiracy people.

Lewis Jones & Paul Blank with PKL Promotion are some of the best out there! They have been running the Fast Eddies 9Ball tour for over 7 years here in Texas and have ignited pool here!!!

G-cues owners Gary & Kevin Welling are some of the best supporters of pool here in Texas!!!! Bar none! We are so lucky to have them!! They have worked each year to improve the event and next year will be no different.

Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Well said Ray. I didn't see Lewis or Paul drive off in a Mercedes. They are the best and did it all in a place that was hotter than a 3 peckered billy goat.

You know, now that the smoke is starting to clear {im my head anyway} there were lots of really good matches.

I was really impressed with Shawn Putnam and how he goes about things. Watching him play kept reminding me of another BIG southpaw named Jay Swanson.

Ismael Paez played real well along with our own James Davis Sr and Rick Stanley.

Fellow AZ'r James Roberts has an impressive game and a super nice guy.

There were many others too. Thanks to all.

Lewis, is Jim making fun of my 13 year old hippie dawg conversion Dodge van?

One reason the lack of a/c at the tournament didn't bother me much is my old van ain't got any either.

I'm not sure but I think your Lexus is older than my van but, at least, the a/c works occasionally. LOL
