Agreed, great turnout yesterday, looks like a number of events on the calendar, and if all of them are run well, the turn-out should stay solid.....wish there were more 9 footers, maybe this will help 
IMHO, I think pool is on an upswing.....I think part of the Texas Holdem/Poker "boom" is over and hope to see some of those folks returning....with the challenges in the economy, pool is something that can be played inexpensively, and the value tourney and the competition is worth the dollars....hell, most competetive golf tournies I play are $90 plus, and the attraction of getting the same playing time for $25 to $40 is something to think about....and at this time of the year, I can stay warm
