I made a quick trip to the Los Angeles area last week, so last minute I contacted Atthecat (Monte) via PM to see if we could get together for an hour or so. He could not have been more gracious.

He invited me to his home to play on the fantastic old Anniversary table he is trying to sell (at a bargain price I might add). I asked if I could bring my 14 year old nephew and he was fine with that and made the both of us feel very welcome. We played for a little more than an hour, he even let me touch his R-12 :thumbup:. Monte is a very good player and helped my nephew aim - thanks for being so nice to Ben!

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you publicly, Monte, for being such a great host, and at the last minute to boot. You are a gentleman and I look forward to our next meeting.

I wish I had the time. My wife & I were there for a wedding on the central coast and had a lot of driving to do in a short amount of time. We didn't even let them know we were in CA so no hurt feelings. it would have been great to visit with Bert & Pat. And I would like to meet you one of these days as well!

Dave, it was my pleasure! I had a blast shooting with you and Ben. Although, next time I want a 7 ball spot in One Pocket!!! Thanks for teaching me about that game.
Next time you're in town give me a holler. Oh, and bring the R-14.

Monte, if I knew we would see each other for sure, I would have brought my baby, you would love it...and I still love your table:D.

Well now I'm really jealous. Atthecat and I have been trying to meet up for some pool the last couple of weeks. But, the timing hasn't been right. One of these days we'll hook up, I'm sure!
