Jeez, how quickly things fall apart and hidden agendas are no longer hidden.
I have high regard for Nick and that other fellow too, Mr. Campbell. All of my
experiences with Nick & Dean have been nothing less than exemplary pals.
Having disclosed my regard for Nick, I’d like to know more about the Sneaky
Pete cue Cory made. I believe there is a demand, if not a need, for well made
SP cues. I’d love to start a collection of SP cues made by some of the better
names in cue making. I’ve seen SP cues by Scruggs, JMW, Mottey, etc but
most were beat up and over a grand asking price. The only control I’d want
on having a SP cue made is the shaft size & weight and the butt’s weight.
I’m sure there are others out there that would want a SP cue by Cory or say
Eddie Cohen. A cue maker could make a limited run every 12-18 months &
release say a dozen SP cues. The cues would be understandably lower priced
than a simple 4 point cue sans any veneers or inlays. Maybe it might include
the cue maker’s ring style for the collars. But the wood would be top notch.
In fact, if Eddie C. or Cory gets to read my post, let’s get something started.
I’ll be cue no. 1. Betcha the other 11 or so cues would be spoken for fast. So
quickly that the number of cues might have to increase to keep up with the
demand. You could wind up with a waiting list for your Ltd. line of SP cues.
So Nick, how’s the SP cue Cory made? What kind of joint? Does it feel different
from your other cues? Do you own other SP cues? How come you never added
a TS sneaky or do you have one hidden away? What’s your favorite SP cue joint?
Maybe we can get a discussion about pool going and stir up some interest in a
SP cue project like Deanoc conducted with Bob Owen and Jerry Rauenzahn re:
Bushka cue designs. Heck, I had 4 cues made; it was fun and the cues play great.
If folks are interested, I’d spearhead a SP cue project with a popular cue maker. The
one I contacted is so buried with new cue orders he doesn’t have time to undertake it.
Nick, tell us about Cory’s SP cue, if you can resist, just ignore the peanut gallery distractions
