thanks from cornerstone! expo

I think this is a huge load of whining crap!!

Doug

From the guy who just sold Bill a house. Im sure you guys are real close. And also its easy to call that one whining when you have like a billion dollars worth of cues to choose from. Every other day you have a tascarella or a Mottey or a scruggs or whatever you have. This was a big deal for me. Going to Bill to try and work out some kind of deal was a big deal to me and I was excited as hell as it was going to be my first real foray into higher end cues. I felt skunked plain and simple. If you think its whining fine if you dont like it... tough.

I see

Bill is the only one who knows the prices of his cues.

Sometimes Bill would be very busy, but he did not mind when I interrupted him for a price on a cue.

With all due respect I would hope that as the only guy with the prices that he wouldnt mind that you interrupted him to get a price. Wouldnt that just stand to reason?

Just a thought.

Listen Bill seems like a nice guy and his cues are gorgeous as Im sure all of you obviously know. I simply had a bad experience at the booth plain and simple. I voiced that opinion which i am allowed to do just like you guys are allowed to do so also. I know for a fact I am not the only one who felt this way at the booth. I was really hoping like I said to work something out with Bill but every time I went to the booth he asked me to come back later. So i would come back later as a matter of fact on the friday i went to VF I prob went back around 5 to 10 times and each time it was the same "come back later". If i was lucky enough to even see a cue it was a lot.

I get that Bill is a great guy to you guys I do. But people have to realize there are two sides to every story and you all heard how he was sooooooo busy and things were sooooooo great. Well you know what my experience wasnt soooooo great. Deal With It.

My point being is = it is difficult to multi-task, especially when you are the owner of a collectable cue trade show booth, at the largest show of the year. You are entitled to voice your experience, this is an open forum. It just concerns me because our business model is not about the fat wallets, big fish cue buyers, Ferrari type pizzazz. We strive to treat everyone the same, as friends.

Like I said Bill seems like a nice guy and Im sure he is. I just had one bad experience. I dont think it was meant intentionally it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I really hope that you get the cue of your dreams and are able to work out a new acquisition. Don't let a bad experience discourage your interest with such a great hobby. Sometimes you don't get the rolls, but it is very fun and the camaraderie is priceless. Like you said, I don't think what transpired was intentional. Just a pointer, you can ask anyone that works in the booths, they are all there to help. Good luck to you.

Times square !!

As a native new yorker, let me pharaphrase the saying..''stay at times square and you'll see the world go by''....

Bill 's booth arguably always has all the action and folks always are in a ''must see'' mode at the sbe...

Bill continues to be a first class act as well as an attraction,,,,,

if you haven't had the pleasure of sampling his new line of sauces,,,,,you're missing out,,,,

between his cues and condiments,,,''life is good ""

thanks pal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,alan............
