Preacher Ronn's One Pocket Invitational at Kolbys.I saw a bunch of AZB guys who are on here at the event and it was a good tournament.We had my partner Steve there,San Jose Dick was in attendance,Ken Gouson and Carlos aka back2good1 was in the house also.I hope you guys come out next month for it,it is alot of fun and thanks to all who tuned in.I want to congratulate Bernie Pettipiece who just returned from the Worlds 14.1 in NJ and is also an AZB member on winning the tournament and beating me for the hot seat,well played my friend and I couldn't many people I would rather lose to, your a real gentleman. :)
 
So Fast Lenny how many were in the tournament, was it handicapped, and what was the entry? As I saw NO MENTION of this One Pocket Event in any of the Arizona Pool NEWSpapers? Or was it truly any on an invitation basis only??
 
It was open to anyone.
yes it was handicapped
Pretty much word of mouth was it for advertising.
It goes off once a month.
12 strong local players showed.

It was a good time.

You're absolutely right about Bernie Pettipiece being a gentleman. I was fortunate to have a chance to speak with him at the 14.1 event. A great person and a great player. Almost beat Oliver Ortmann.

It was a $35 entry and I do believe there was money added,it is a good tournament open to anyone,you should come and play,its the last Saturday of every month.

Yes I took 3rd,I did beat Preacher Ronn and Rick Cosman earlier in the tournament,Rick beat me later on to get into the finals,I lost the hot seat match to Bernie Pettipience.I was very happy with how I finished with a strong field of players. :)

You should be proud... you played lights out. BTW... I will need more than 8-7.

I dont think I will be bumped to a 9 anytime soon,I will have to beat one on the stream I would think or beat a few more 8's.I think that me and you can play but I have 2 opponents lined up already,it would be a pleasure to play you. :wink:
