Klenti Kaci has made quite a few fans on the East Coast, having competed in a variety of events, showing his firepower.

He's having a good run at the Open this year.

The record for the youngest to ever win the U.S. Open is a tie between Mike Sigel and Corey Deuel at the age of 21. The oldest to ever win it is "Spanish Mike" Lebron at 54.

Can Klenti Kaci bring a new record to the Open this year, winning it at the age of 18? The kid's name shows up everywhere in pool's fourth estate.

He's still on the winner's side, and here's who he's played so far:

KK v. Ernest Dominguez, 11 to 5
KK v. D. Jelatis, 11 to 5
KK v. P. Makkonen, 11 to 8.
KK v. Ronnie Alcano, 11 to 7.
KK v. Darren Appleton, 11 to 8.

Next up is Corey Duel.

Time will tell, I guess. :)

That is awesome. He must be playing great.

I'll tell you one thing, if Team Europe chooses this kid for the Mosconi Cup, we're in deep doo-doo. He may be the best player from Europe right now.

And he hasn't even peaked yet in his pool-playing career.

The kid's very good but the best player from Europe now is a guy called Jayson.
Kaci is probably the best young player from Europe though 17 year old Fedor Gorst may have something to say about that :D

Thanks for sharing your opinion.:)

Here's the Americans left: Shane, Sky, Billy, Corey, Earl, Rodney, John Schmidt, Justin Bergman, and Reymart Lim.

Klenti Kaci has endeared himself to a lot of Americans since he's been over here. In fact, many of them are pulling for him to win.

Kaci won the 1st wps event that Darren runs too i believe. He surely has some talent. As of now i wouldnt choose him on team Europe over Shaw or Albin. But he is going to be there eventually.

He's a monster, but there are better players in Europe, you can see it in the Eurotour ranking:
https://eurotouronline.com/eurotour-ranking/

Having said that, I think this boy will be a Euro top 5 in very few years.

I think that Klenti’s position on that list reflects his age more than his talent...
...looking at it from a North American action perspective...I would like to bet on Klenti if
he played all 28 players ranked ahead of him a race to 25 at nine ball....
...I feel I would come out well ahead.

I’m not demeaning the Euro ranking, BTW...I’m very impressed with this organization...
...I just like the direction this kid’s game is going....:bow-down:

And I think it’s prudent for the pool world to learn how to pronounce his family name...
..I spoke to one of his countrymen...Kaçi is pronounced “Kachi”....
...we’re going to be hearing that name a lot.

Klenti

I played Klenti first round. I went from 2-0 up to 7-2 down in a blink. He played Alcano and from 7-6 ran out the set. I posted some additional thoughts on how we got to this point in pool here:

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=462582

After he beat me I watched him closely his next few matches. This kid is spectacular. He runs tables l the way you might tie your shoes. It's not something he's 'trying' to do. It's simply something he knows how to do, and he does it.

The only players I'd bet on against Klenti at this moment are elite tournament favorites. SVB, Shaw, Wu, Orcullo. Maybe Albin and Alex. Maybe I'd sit those out.

He's going to get stronger for sure. The only reason I'm not sure he'll dominate is that there are others doing the same thing. But he'll get his fun in the sun no doubt!

Well, the betting has started, and there's several pool aficionados waging that he wins. They are betting he wins the entire Open, and they are taking all bets at the time of this writing.

Oh boy.........

I hope he likes the U.S. so much he wants to live here and plays on our Mosconi Cup Team..........

He can play some pool and I wonder what he will be like in 10 years if he keeps his focus.

I have $50 on him at 25:1 to win the whole thing in the action room so I really hope you are right!!!

I believe I set that line - shoulda asked for 30 to 1 and got us a better deal :) not sure why I didnt do the whole $100, probably because I had all of Fedor but he didnt show

Best of luck to you, Nick! I'm still liking him to win the whole thing, and so are a lot of other people. There's more to pool than the AzBilliards odds-makers. You got a good bet. ;)

You could have. I didn't even know who he was until now. Heck of a player.

Always with a jab huh? I have the same bet, so I guess that's good luck to me also :rotflmao1::rotflmao1::rotflmao1:
Thanks for the well wishes JAM
