Just got some text messages from Trent......he said I better hope we don't run into one and other old man. Really. Are you kidding me.....this guy wants to beat me up cause I don't think he is very good working on tables.
I didn't attack him on this thread....he jumped on me...now he said I have no idea who he is.....guess I better be on the look out.

I don't care either way about this thread. I do care that you have threatened a member who has been on AZ for 7 plus years. Telling someone that you hope you meet up with them someday in the text you sent is a threat. Don't back peddle and try to say differently. You sent it in the heat of the moment. Still no excuse. I get along with every mechanic on this forum. I don't know much about you but you don't seem to take criticism very well. You are new to the business. My advice is do more reading of older posts and less self promoted posts. Best of luck!

In legal terms: there was no threat made. I explained myself and he/ you can construe it any way you like. My points were made and I have seen other people lash out the same way because it goes back to the old saying: If you don't have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all. I am not going to BATTLE anymore, This is the VERY first time I went there and I promise it to be the last. I stick to my original post. I hate seeing people treated like crap because one guy thinks he can treat people like crap because he is one of the best. So you were a lawyer before a pool table mechanic? Mark has done more for other mechanics than you can ever hope to do. You know it all in your short years in the industry. I have gotten 7 pm's in the last 2 hours since I posted this telling me how they feel about you. That has got to be a record! You are on your way to being a legend.

Finally DONE!

Not trying to win any popularity contest. I love pool and pool tables as I have mentioned. I enjoy my work and I am busy all the time :)

Why should Trent have to take abuse from the forum troll just because he has less experienced. I personally like to see the pictures and like the fact he proud of his work.

I really appreciate you sticking up for me, that took some balls. I know you own a successful business and probably have been seeing this for a very long time. I have had lengthy phone conversations with Mark about this exact topic and how I should "Stay away from AZ Billiards" because of how other people will treat me. That is mainly why I decided to say something. I should have known and sorta pointed out this might go the wrong way for me, but, oh well. Fact is not everyone is going to like what I said: Most know it is not fair to be attacked on what is supposed to be a forum of professionals. I have never claimed to be a mechanic or anything. I just do what I do and like having a forum to learn from and show my work. Mark swears I am doing this for advertising: I do not neeed extra work as I am busy all the time with restorations. this forum is the only of its kind and I will not be "ran off" by anyone. :)

Look Trent....and you as well Donnie.....I do understand that you guys have not been in the business long enough to understand or that fact watch how many times crews of so called mechanics come through your area and just destroy tables in days time.....and trust me it's the owners fault for trying to save money on recoveries......then they're gone and now guys that do know the proper way to get the tables redone correctly....have to fix all the screw ups you can't see before you freely dig into the tables.....and you get the same pay as you have received prior to them ever touching the tables

If they said they were coming through Texas Arizona and California.....I would have never posted....why would I care.

I think you missed my point entirely. It really had nothing to do with the A-Team's ability, quality of work or lack there of, it was the fact that you attacked them right off the bat.

I actually do know what you are talking about concerning these "crews" and now I will tell a lil story about the Diamond Pool Tables at the Pool room where I captain my BCA team out of: We have 12 Diamonds: 10-7' Pro Am's , 1- 9' Pro and 1- 9' Am. Diamond's guys came to recover them all last year. First, I am not sure how they could not sell them Championship 30/30 on all of them, but, the 2 nine footers were and the rest were covered with Mercury Ultra. So the 9 footers both have some obvious "Waves" in the cloth where you can see it they both were not stretched properly and I have learned frm Glenn that this can lead to "grain tracking" with the balls. I was just noticing last night when I was there practicing: the pockets look like shit. I can see the relief cuts and it looks like they tried the 2 piece pocket method and FAILED horribly. Now on to the 7 footers: You can actually move the cloth with your hand by placing it flat on the table with a lil pressure and the cloth turns. Its not terrible and yet it is still not right. On some of the tables a slow rolling ball that is approaching the pocket will actually ROLL BACKWARDS because there is so much glue on TOP of the slate that it has formed an almost un noticeable ridge!!!! On another one of the tables there is for surely a thread under the cloth and it is obvious that is what it is. They were there for a day and a half. So yeah I get it, they burn and turned MY FAVORITE POOL ROOM that I captain my team out of. Obviously I am very unhappy with it and knowing that I can do a MUCH better job( see below about not knowing anything about Diamonds, But I know I could recover one if it were apart) than that is the worst part and I say this because I have just under 2 years of experience under my belt. It would take me minimum 4-5 days w/ a helper to do that many tables because I would not "production line" all of them. I would recover each table individually and do a good job that is right and not the easy quick route. So Mark, the point you keep making about these jokers who run around the country doing 20 tables a day is very clear and I hate to have had to use Diamonds installers as an example, but, I clearly demonstrated that I understand by the long ass paragraph I just wrote. I have spoken to Glenn about coming to Toledo to work on the tables there and hopefully he will because I want the room owner to know what he is supposed to be getting. I would not even solicit the owner because I work on Brunswicks and have ZERO experience with a Diamond. Not that I am scared or anything, I make it a point to not tell people I can do things that I have never done. I always tell my clients when I have not done something they are asking me to and proceed to finding someone who has the experience needed, hence , calling Glenn and asking him for his help and possibly coming here.

On every table where the cushion meets the subrail there is also an inconsistency in the "line" that shows through the cloth, in my opinion should not be there and it is on some rails an proper on others. Trent...if you read my first post....I told the truth about others coming here to the south......I never said anything about I know these guys and they're hacks.....I told the story of one such group that came through and I had to redo the tables....at the same price I have always charged...and had to scrape 50 pounds of glue off....and that's after hours of tempting to get the rail bolts out.
Never did I call out the guy that posted......I told a story from the past....maybe to warn some of wants to possible come.

I'm not on here for nice guy points......I tell it like I see it.

Rick beam called me and we spoke.....he said he didn't make it clear it was him....Rick has done work for me when I was in Fl....as I mentioned.

THIS IS MY LAST POST ON THIS THREAD AND I DONE WITH IT: LIKE IT OR NOT IT IS MY OPINION OF THE SITUATION. I never cussed or "threatened" anyone. Anyone can be as much of a "keyboard or iphone Cowboy" as they want on the internet, but, I simply was stating that I do not let ANYONE talk to me that way to my face.
