BTW i found a few reviews on this place:

First view but seems like a polished turd..

The lazy service , I wanted to try the place out because I seen they had lottery, but they did not want to help me any at all. Also very bad atmosphere ,lousy tables rude people, and always someone looking to gamble , I am not into that , I am not A Pro, just looking to have A good time , Well I didn't! Thumbs down to this place! You think they would try A bit harder with All of the competition in the Area.

Pros: None
Cons: Everything

SOMEONE ALWAYS LOOKING TO GAMBLE??? Sounds promising :lol:

The other Review...

top hat is my favorite place to finish the weekend. it's not a bar so it never gets too rowdy, and there are plenty of tables and for the most part all of the cues are straight. a good place to bring a group of friends because the odds are you can get two or three tables close to one another if you get there before 10 or 11 pm. inexpensive, nonpretentious, just laidback pool atmosphere. not dead, but never too packed even when all the tables are full. highly recommended for newbies as well as seasoned players because nobody will really watch over your game and make you feel uncomfortable. a good learning/practice atmosphere!

Pros: spacious, laidback, equipment in good condition, inexpensive, refreshments available!
Cons: small parking lot but not usually a problem. sometimes loud but not regularly.

Im going to put my 2 sense in. Top Hat is under new ownership in last few months I believe. The place is awesome. Tables are perfect, tight pockets, newly felted. NO leagues beating them up all week long! The staff that works there now is very nice, the owners are around and very proactive about the place. Everything is INCREDIBLY cheap there, table time is $3.50/hour, and for being the nicest place to play around thats pretty awesome! As far as the gambling goes that is a good thing by most players standards, this is a true pool hall. If you show up with you instroke case and are running balls there will be people who may ask you if you gamble or want to play. If you don't simply decline and 99.99% of all people will be fine with that, but you can't blame a pool gambler for trying to get a game. That review is written by someone who likely cant run 2 balls.

All the tables are gold crowns and there are a TON of them! They can really accomodate an great tournament there. The only cons that most reasonable people may have are that there is no alcohol, (meaning there are a lot of pepsi cans being refilled outside) which I dont see as a problem, no loud music (also no real player minds), and there isnt much room for spectators to watch. Other than that the place is great and I for one am looking forward to a great event.

I think top hat is the best room in the area, I do love me some beer and the place is so good, I can just do coke.

The drink, I mean. Unless is is after 10pm. Then water.

Beer goes here:
