My form looked horrible. But I am OK with it. I know what I need to do for the rematch.

oh yes, and just one more thing. I think everyone knows I've had Spider on Ignore for a couple of years, but I did see you quoting him, Nick, and one part of his post kinda jumped out at me: "...however bad John looked, you looked at least that bad."

I don't know. I don't think we look the same at all :-)

John's Form v Lou's Form:

Those are CTE pivots.

You left out the part about how you played at DCC.... however bad John looked, you looked at least that bad. You missed ball in hand in the kitchen and sold out shot after shot after shot on open tables. Oh yeah..."you were drunk"...I forgot.

Maybe he was just setting the table for a feast....

I don't know what match everyone was watching, but bottom line was you sold out game after game in this glorious match of yours and if you played anyone who could capitalize on your pooches you would have lost Mike's money. I think this match goes hill hill or John winning had John not been threatened 3 mins before post time. It clearly shook him up and he didn't recover for 4 games or so..

Well knowing your opponent has to count for something.... John should have never LOOKED for the confrontation. You're a low B-C player at best and you engage in an altercation before a money match that is more than he has paid his employees since he went to China... Stop it with the Eric excuse already.

I played him Fri night and he played so well, I told him he couldn't lose to you. He was a different guy in your match... the pressure of the money paired with the pressure of getting beat up allowed you to trip over the finish line.

10k vs sh*ts and giggles. I am sure he was in dead punch. Again the Eric excuse..

Lou, great game, can't wait to read the rest....

They can jaw all they want but pictures speak a thousand words ,,

I agree. I watched a lot of the match and the whole process from the pre shot routine to the finish of the stroke was not even remotely close in terms of the form between the two players.

Correct. I should not have spoken to Eric. But in my defense I didn't know he would go wannabe gangsta and come over with a pool ball in his hand to beat me up with. I should have offered to loan him my glock so he wouldn't have had to abuse the pool room's equipment.

I should have just had him tossed the moment I saw him.

John's Form v Lou's Form:

No Lou you don't. You could keep your head down a little lower but I'm a bit of a traditionalist ;-). Nice solid repeatable form...young man. Back in the 80"s when I learnt to play snooker all the halls had mobile mirrors you could use to watch and hone your stance and stoke. The old guys would crack you over the head like Mr. Miyagi if you moved your head or body before the object ball settled in the hole. Your dancing bear opponent would have been black and blue.

Words. Just words. The legacy of John Barton- just all talk (it's really all bullchit).

If you didn't know we already had a lot of bad blood between us, you have the worst memory in history. Remember SBE 2013 when you caught my coming in from dinner and decided to start talkin chit too? Nah, I wouldn't expect you to.

I tried to give you a wide berth. You weren't sane enough to appreciate it.

Eric >G 27 for carry

This is why Pool, Poker & Pain should have amateur night once a month.

You know Dave I used to think the show had no chance. Now I'm begging to come over to your way of thinking.

He was just looking for a excuse for his not so bright backer

Lile I said...it looked like the winner had the blow the loser. Neither played well. John couldn't even spell one pocket (and I'd spot him the "pocket") up to a few months ago and won 6 games off a one hole "specialist." Not because John played well, but because Lou wasn't stellar either.

The funny thing is if the Pro One poster boy would have won then all the CTE followers perceptions would have changed. They would be all over the board saying how great it is, and that is why he won.

I cannot begin to imagine the chit-storm that would still be raining down on me from the CTE contingent, two weeks after the match (into perpetuity), if I had lost.

I would never set the table. Perhaps polish the stemware....

My opponent (and backer) had a lot to do with how I decided to play certain segments of the match -- not my usual style.

And thanks, Joe. Though in it's latest incarnation (as of tonight) I've tried to make it as PC as possible, I suspect that you and others will still enjoy tomorrow's edition. Others, not so much.

lol, Nick, I'm old school.

Not so long ago I had a pro who shall remain nameless (John Brumback) say to me, "You've watched too many Willie Mosconi videos." He was actually trying to help me and gave me a great tip that I'm still trying to incorporate into my game. I'll see you soon, John Brumback.
