Peachauer all day. I am surprised if I don't make a ball even when my opponent is trying to give me a cold rack. I don't even sweat it.

Rick Howard MACE cue is the best break cue.

Andy Gilbert is a close second.

If you are looking for a great cue to break and play with I would pick Andy Gilbert first then Rick Howard cue second.

Hope you understand what I mean.

So far there are hands down 8 best break cues...

This is what happens when these types of questions are asked. You might as well just ask what everyone is using as a break cue.

Personally I have a Gilbert JB and it is pretty much the nuts.

The one that makes at least five balls on the break and gives perfect position for the first shot after the break.......this is the best break cue.

My same thoughts haha.

Personally I like my OB break cue with Samsara tip. I have the first edition.

Really, I think a lot of it comes from the tip you use. A friend of mines used to use a stiff maple shaft with a Samsara tip and it broke great. I would still suggest an OB, used if you can find one, but not by much.

There is a book by photographer chase jarvis entitled "The Best Camera Is The One That's With You..." and I think the same applies here. We can all swear by this company or maker. But it doesn't matter what's out there unless we can fully use, what we have in our immediate possession to it's full potential.

Reminds me about the guy I was playing last night. We were gambling cheap and I racked and he broke the 9 ball rack.

He made (2) balls on the break, the balls spread decently, but he didn't have a shot on the 2 ball (he made the one ball on the break). He started bit$hing at me about how I racked...

Really ?!?!?!

No, I wouldn't let him rack his own.

The best break cue is a break rack. I've got probably 8 different break cues right now. The one I'm using is an old beat up BK1 butt with a uniloc samsara break shaft. I've had a BK2, Mezz PB1 and 2, lots of customs, it doesn't really matter.

Breaking is so much more in the technique than in the equipment. Don't get me wrong there are some cues I've had that have been duds for me. My choice is a samsara tip for whatever you get- I feel like they hit the best out of what I've tried.

+1 for this. It's more about how you hit them not what you hit them with. +1 for samsara also

I've tried several, including some "interesting creative ideas" that worked for other people, what I've had the best return with what's worked best for me is the BK 2 with a Samsara tip. While that has worked well for me, when I'm working the break, I'll had off the breaker to friends and others and ask them to break a couple of times with it and let me know what they think. The Mezz was a good second, but The BK 2 was the clear favorite.
