Thanks for the info. Are they Duramith like the Tournament set?
No. It was designed to use at Derby City.I've read that the blue measles ball was designed for Smart Tables. What differences would make that so?
Pretty sure its SAP but i just msg'd them to be sure. I think only Tournament set CB's and the Black measel CB are Duramith. Thanks for the info. Are they Duramith like the Tournament set?
Not sure but I’d wager the same resin as the Super Pros. Thanks for the info. Are they Duramith like the Tournament set?
Manning's site says SAP and i'm sure that's right. Not sure but I’d wager the same resin as the Super Pros.
I think it’s funny how people shy away from it because it is Smart Table compatible without even researching what the Smart Table technology is/does. It’s a normal Super Pro Measle Ball except for the blue dots and Diamond/Aramith Logo.Manning's site says SAP and i'm sure that's right.
Chad at Diamond just confirmed its SAP. People way over-think some of this stuff. I'm sure the Duramith is a little harder as Aramith states but the difference in play is nil. I doubt burn-mark reduction is all that big either. For just practicing, one of the striped balls is the best. You can see spin in any direction and you can also see where you tip made contact. I still like the measle ball. While true you can't do much after the fact practicing it can be very telling. With these low 12's and 11 mm tips you got to be very precise in your stroke and tip placement.
There is no better deal out there imo. Some really like the dynaspheres but anytime I can buy products not made in china I prefer it. Aramith is king. The colors on the set are really well done. Mine are holding up well.
Did they have a solid black ring around the number with two arrows pointing in at the number, if so they where Brunswick centennials, they are made buy Aramith for Brunswick.I was playing pool the other day at a pool hall. The pool balls they gave me were really nice. It made the game quite a bit easier. I usually play on a home table with very old balls. what kind of pool balls are the best. Thinking of purchasing some for my home table. Thanks.
It's in keeping with the traditional aesthetics of the set. The plain white cue ball goes with the classic colors. Remember, the measles ball was introduced with the TV colors with the intention of allowing the audience to see the spin. So a measles cue ball doesn't quite fit the look of traditional colors.Yes, all other upgraded Aramith tournament ball sets include the Measle ball except for the Tournament set that everyone wants the most, with the traditional colors. Makes absolutely no sense!
