The Color of Money (film 1986)

I wonder why they did not use a Adam Japan Balabushka replica for the cue in the Movie, at least calling a Balabushka it would have looked like one. Not that the Joss is not sweet and It is one of my fav cues, But they could have gotten them cheap enough to make the scene, I like the Color of Money but the movie could have been a ton better. I wish there would have been more pool scenes and More of Eddie playing , It could have used that old school pool hustler vibe the Hustler had. Jackie Gleason made that feel real with his way off Paul Newman. It just seems the movie was thrown together to quick. They should have Mosconi help with it as well. Maybe even had Fats play himself as the Son of Minnesota fats ,lol.

I liked the movie, but I would've liked to have seen Walter Tevis's book, "The Color of Money", turned into a movie. It continues the story of Fast Eddie and Fats, years later after Fats retires.

I know they say they didnt include Minnesota Fats in the COM since Jackie Gleason refused the role because he felt like his character seemed like an afterthought, but maybe the producers also felt it woukd be easier on them in the long run to leave the Fats character out considering Rudolph Wanderone would probably cause them more trouble and try and get his hands into the pie again as he did with the first movie, maybe even legally this time since i believe he had his name legally changed to Minnesota Fats at some point after the Hustler came out.

That makes sense and I would say that would be a strong possibility , It is a shame tho as it could have made a more interesting movie.
