About 2 months back i contacted Jim Baxter for a set of Joint Protectors for my Pechauer which turned out great (whole set plus cue on trade or sale here ...we started talking from there and realised how much he loves beautiful wood...one thing led to another and thats how we got started on working on this gorgeous thing that your about to see...
Whole process was extremely interactive, we exchanged mails and PMs everyday which made the cue even more of a joy to build. Started with wood selection and going through Jim's photobucket list of cue pics you won't be short of seeing gorgeous wood....we settled on Amoyna and Jim happen to have ordered some. Here are some of the wood he ordered and allowed me to choose from, but ultimately i asked Jim to pick since he knew better which would go better..

The initial plan was to build a plain jane with just beautiful wood and nice rings but as the whole thing progresses..so did the cue...i saw some nice 6pt wood cue and shared them with Jim, he suggested we could go 3high 3 low points and we worked with his 2 favourite wood, Ebony and Amboyna. With the help of Wayne from Fincher Custom Cues(Jim, if you're reading this correct me if i'm wrong...) had the points made with the ebony and amoyna...here are some pics:
