The DP event in Louisiana........

??????????/

just ask yourself one question, if you own a room and was having a big event and bigtruck offered to stream it for free would you let him? to me its a no brainer. i might even help him carry his gear in. but dont worry room owner rickey b. at breakers in mobile alabama answer it for us. you can catch bigtrucks stream at the mobile tournament this weekend.lol.

Well it's obvious everyone on this forum wants free streaming.

I don't know Charlie but I think you're a missing the point here. A small pool hall owner is living on the financial edge. So I have strong feelings for their right to try and stay alive. They know the business far better than AZforum members.

The amount of money a local pool hall is going to see from worldwide exposure is a big fat zero. The pool owner lives and dies on those dollars that come in or don't come in if someone local stays home and watches a stream.

In all successful sports the broadcasters pay a fee for getting the right to cover an event. To this day Football and Baseball black out games that can affect the gate. If big sports think it's viable to do that why shouldn't the pool room owner. I think the pool room owner probably doesn't need to ask Ray for money but he certainly has every right to not have streaming. Ray would argue that a stream can bring more people down to watch. That's a very debatable point and why should the pool hall owner risk the few dollars he needs in hopes of breaking even or gawd forbid make a little money.

Let me get you aware that Charlie is Charlie Williams of Dragon Promotions. He wanted Ray to Pay him. He also is charging pretty good door addmission for specators to watch the pro event. The owner of the room K Hulin wanted Ray to stream it. Ray probably gets some kind of pay to do these things. He drives all over the country, obviously.
OK there now you are up to date. Just read the thread next time and your post wouldn't sound so of base !

Oldzilla you don't have the slightest understanding of the business proposition. But thanks for the input.

Your to freaking dumb to be an idiot !

I agree, I guess I'll have to get that program John Barton was recommending. I've got that goof on ignore but still have to see his moronic posts when someone quotes him.

He was so far off base he could have been tagged out by a parapalegic !

I guess I slept that myself. I was thinking that DP was the poolroom, didn't realize it was Dragon Productions until this post. Now that I realize that, things are much clearer. I wouldn't waste my time watching anything Charlie was promoting anyway! The pool room owner is the poor guy taking the short end of this deal, just because Charlie wants to put more money in his pocket! Sad!

Well thanks for the clarification Oldzilla. But I do know who Charlie Williams is i just don't know him. And i do know that he's not the pool hall owner. The business proposition remains the same. Probably too late for you to go back to school to understand how business works.

Thats ok but that other guy to dumb to mention was writing an epilog about the whole thing and was wrong on 3 counts.
You on the other hand agreed with my analisis. lol tyvm

Plus you are correct now , the room owner is getting slighted because he wanted Ray there to do this event. Until CW demanded some jelly that he has no business getting. Especially if the amature event is the event being streamed. I don't think CW has anything to do with the amature event. It isn't clear as to which players were to be streamed. Maybe both !

But your other post made no sense at all as usuall !

Lets go back to this before you change it. Please explain how this makes sense to the whole subject here.

1. K hulin the owner was not asking Ray for money and wanted him there to stream it
2. CW demanded money
3. this isn't MLB or NFL
4. No wonder everyone has you on ignore !

Just to clarify:
DP never asked Ray Hansen to pay us for the streaming.
Actually, we were paying him to come to the event. He later wrote us he could not make it.

And we do have another company that will be streaming the event.
Hope that clarifies

thanks for clearing that up.
guess ray found a better deal as well as DP.

Thanks for the answer. You are getting much better at responding to questions about your events.

Just a small amount of advice, Always speak the truth, stick to the facts and don't ever let anyone get you into a pissing contest on here.

Always take the high road and swallow a little pride if you have to.

Good Luck with your event.

Ps: In the future always remember you get what you pay for and Big Trucks streams are first class.

Charlie and I did reach an agreement for me to be compensated for this show. I just never got any details before a sponsor stepped up and asked me to go to Mobile.

Since no details were worked out with DP, I told a sponsor I would go to Mobile. The Mobile event is not real supportive of the stream. I may just stay home and relax.

We'll see.

Ray

ps. I think y'all should cut CW a little slack. He stays very busy promoting the sport and He is supporting pool in Louisiana by bringing some great pool to the region. Glad it's getting covered.

This thread is another great example of what happens when some people here see CW's or Dragon Promotions name mentioned:D

The bashing starts, having no clue about the actual facts. Now everyting turned out to have a natural explanation.

Disclaimer: I do not in any form work for, am getting paid, sponsored or in other forms am compensated for this post from CW, DP, Shanelle (unfortunately) or other parties involved.

Thank you for the clarification. Funny how everyone started going down a completely dif path and a lot of misinformation was being posted.
