Great picture. I first saw Ga Young play at the 2001 BCA Open. I think she was 17. She took Allison Fisher to the double hill before losing 9-8. Even then, her strong pedigree was evident.
Her first venture to the states was when she was 15 (Chicago WPC) but i didnt meet her til the year of that pic- 2003. The first time I saw her actually was at the DCC. It was no later than 03 but likely 02. GYK lost her first ELEVEN matches with Allison IIRC. Then a victory and she has much the better record since.
