JOHN HIGGINS EASES PAST MARK KING TO REACH ENGLISH OPEN THIRD ROUND, KYREN WILSON, ALI CARTER ADVANCE​

John Higgins beat Mark King to continue his quest for a first English Open title. Higgins, who lost in the final against Neil Robertson last year, made breaks of 85 and 103 and will next play Robert Milkins. Kyren Wilson eased through with a 4-0 victory over Ben Woollaston and Ali Carter and Mark Allen also won. Earlier in the day there were wins for Judd Trump, Mark Selby and Robertson in Essex. :​

Judd Trump has extended his head-to-head record to 6-1 against Craig Steadman.
