well ladies that uncle larry cue with four shafts,one of them being a brand new predator shaft,finally sold.i have to say that as long as that cue was on here i was really surprised no one picked it up.i told you that that cue made me a ton of money,that didn't matter,i told you it hit real sweet that didn't matter,i told you it retailed for 1,500.00 that didn't matter ,i told you i was selling it for 600.00 that didn't matter.whats really going on here.anyway thanks for the help from the people that assisted me with selling this cue. uncle larry is a nor cal cue maker. he's not a big name cue maker and guys from other parts of the country probably haven't heard of him. it was a great looking cue but for 1500 to spend on a new cue there're a lot of other cue makers to pick from.

Uncle larry's known of around here but he's by no means a "known" cue maker if ya get what i'm saying

Cue Market

I posted a Cue about a month ago that I lowered the price on almost $200.00 dollars and it still didn't sell. I took the listing down and put it back into the closet. I am glad I did as I would have missed that Cue:smile:

I just think the overall market for Cues is way down. One there seems to be more Custom Cue Makers now days. Also I think there are less pool players looking for custom cues.

If someone is willing to take the chance, there are some unbelievable deals to be had.

my point of the thread was there are alot of cue collectors out there looking here,we are not giving these cues away free.the prices i"m seeing are unbeleivable.if you do play pool then you can appreciate a sweet cue when you see it.if you know me you will know that i've made a ton of money with that cue,why because it hits good.when you buy a car are you more concerned with the way it looks,no i'm sure you want that car to deliver ,so i think what i'm really saying is most people who post or inquire on this site don't really play that good do they?hummmm i have never bought a cue just for looks,always for playability,will it do what i want it to do that is the first and most important part of a cue stick that i"m looking for .what about you?

Your cue was offered at a fair price. Unfortunately, he is relatively unknown and the cue market is in the gutter. Furthermore, it's impossible to tell whether or not a cue hits good by just looking at it. It might be a different story if a perspective buyer could play with it. I was definately interested in this cue, but decided to pass since, dang it, I did not like the look of it. It might have played super, but no big deal I've got several superb players. If its any consolation, nobody else is selling their stuff either.

On a side note, practically 80% if the cues for sale here are WAY over priced. I've seen a bunch offered at prices that you could have payed to get the cue new. One in particular screams out at me....the seller has advertised the cue as the "steal of a deal" (or some such bullsh*t)...it's a plain jane for $525. One shaft. The price is more that what the cuemaker would sell it for built to your specs. Maybe he'll sucker some sucker, but that sucker won't be me.

uncle larry cue plays great

i see i might have offended a few,let me end this thread this way,i've been playin competitively for about 35 years,thats being honest,i always hit with a cue that will compliment my ability.so just maybe i know a little bit about how you would want a cue to react to a shot in any given situation.the honest reason i sold that sweet playin uncle larry cue for rock bottom price was cuz i made more money with that cue than any other cue iv'e had.so i realized i didn't have to rob somebody . I LOVE GOD AND MY FAMILY,AND THEN POOL.IN THAT ORDER.......i'm at a time in my life i want to give something back to a sport that has been so good to me and will continue to be good to me,i sleep good when i sleep at night.salamander your right with your statement,these are hard times.dawgandy not everybody in this world is out to screw somone,which i think thats what you were saying,to bad you have to live your life thinking like that.so maybe tomorrow i'll be able to teach somebody in my poolroom something can you say that.

i wish i had enough free cash to take that cue off your hands. unfortunately i feel just like dawgandy in that i'm always looking for the next person that's going to try to screw me over. seems like these days everyone's working some kind of angle (not talking about you).
