The Few The Proud

Two things I also noticed about those pics. Is that brass veneer around points and ring work under the ferrel? If so that is alsome.

Yes sir that is solid brass .015 plate bent and inserted behind the pearlesent points to form shining outline and crisp tight points as only a Marine Cue should!! The rings UNDER the ferrule are two black, two brass, and one red. The brass rings I made, the fiber rings are break pads that I drilled out 5/16 and dropped over the tenon before threading on the ferrule. Should not change the hit noticably. I will post closer pics of the points and forearm tomorrow for those interested.

Thanks for all the feedback and replies Guys!!

I was Navy during Nam era. Amphib, we used to give the Marines food to eat and a ride where they were going.

Very very nice cue. You should host a Marine Pool Tournament and give it to the winner.

I am a active duty Marine and if you needs some contacts to see how you would want to put this in someone's hands let me know. I know me personally I would put it on a shelf in my office and never use it. Lol.

I am interested in getting the cue out on some media where Marines could view it for sure. As for marketing it, I really would prefer that this cue be in the hands of a deserving Marine.

I am waiting now for the seamstress to finish the embroidered cover that goes in the case over the cue to seperate the cue and shadow box when closed. That is the final piece of the package.

The guy that did the embroidery work had the idea that maybe a unit would buy this as a gift for a retiring CO.

I am visiting the Local VA hospital here, the AMVets posts and the Legion halls to show the cue as well.

I wholeheartedly agree that this cue will end up on a mantle in someones billiard room.

Please understand although I build cues to make a living, the time effort and energy that went into this project comes from a deep and sincere respect for everything that the United States Marine Corps stands for and has done for the Freedom and Individual Liberties that ALL AMERICANS enjoy and too many take for granted!

Thanks again to Everyone for the comments and support.

I showed this thread to my best friend, A Marine / pool player, He almost had a stroke! WAY TOO COOL!!

I don't believe there are adequate words to express enough emotions with respect to the time, effort, and "love" that you poured into making this cue...the end result is phenomenal!
