The Final 12 at the U.S. Open

They delayed all the prior scheduled flight times including this one by a half hour, because of the HOF dinner. Then they're typically late on the time they say anyway. And these one loss matches are just about tied so they're going longer, except the Dominguez loss at 5.

The story endings I'd like to see are either SVB's 3-peat, or Busty taking one of these.

 Kiamco was down 9-6 earlier and then won 5 straight games to win against Darren.

Justin Hall down 10-8 to Boyes. Justin has given away about half the games Boyes has won.

Congrats to Mike Dechaine and Warren Kiamco, who have advanced. Each now assured of 7th place and $4,500. Sadly, we just lost two very classy World 9-ball champions in Darren Appleton and Thorsten Hohmann. On the bright side, though, Darren just won $30,000 at the World Cup of Pool and Thorsten just won $25,000 at the Challenge of Champions.

Jason Klatt also assured of 7th by beating esteemed veteran player Ernesto Dominguez and Hall is also assured of 7th or better after his double hill win over Boyes.

It's an awfully strong final 8:

Bustamante
Nick the Greek
Dennis
Shane
Dechaine
Klatt
Kiamco
Hall

Good luck to these fine players.

Only one European in the final 8. Where are all of those foreign clowns on here that squawk about the European dominance all of the time?
