Who will be the final two?

Incidentally, if you throw in Alcano, Pagulayan, and Corey Deuel, I think you got the most dangerous, pressure-resistant, and talented list of players anyone can put together in the sport at this juncture. Would anyone add another name?

I think we'll have a newer guy win this one. I got a hunch. So that leaves us with Manalo, Stalev, or Orcullo. Probably Stalev... or Orcullo... or Manalo...:D

P.S. I'm impressed with the performance of the Brits and snookerers. Well done.

Stalev has looked very impressive the last couple of rounds. Very calm and collected...moreso even than Orcollo who is generally unphased by anything, and who never seems to play bad. (Orcollo only ever seems to lose when his break doesn't work well combined with his opponents hitting a streak).

Ralf is playing like a machine and can not be counted out. Manalo is brilliant but I wonder if he'll be able to hold his focus if he loses one early.

Efren has shown over and over again here that he can always come up with the goods when he is under pressure, so I'd be crazy to write him off.

But Hohmann making it would really surprise me...he is a workhorse, but he has struggled from what I have seen.
If I had to pick 2, it would be Stalev and Orcollo.
I just took a look at the round robin sheets and it doesn't look like the favorites are sweating any more than the intruders. Thorsten, Souquet and Efren led their groups comfortably (especially Efren), whereas Manalo, Orcullo, Stalev got through by a squeaker.

I picked the workhorse in a pool, since Efren was already taken by stinkin' Eddie Brown (always got to have it his way).

From your lips to God's ear. If Manalo wins I scoop $160, but if the Magician wins, it's $1050......
Doug

That's does it, I'm no longer hoping for Reyes or Manalo!  :D

Looks like some of the smallest, youngest and fittest players made it through. Thorsten and Marlon may be the 'biggest' of the group, and they are hardly lard buckets!

At this point, I don't see how I could possibly bet against Efren. I know Souquet has had his number for some time now so it will be interesting to see how they match up later today. I am also keen on how Stalev will make out, he is definitely the "darkhorse" that made the final six.

Again, notice how they pit the Filipinos against each other right away at the beginning rounds of the day, just like they did so yesterday. Again, this is the best way to do things.

I thought that the match sequence was pretermined, as was the advancement criteria and the resulting player placement in the next round. It just worked such that the Filipinos play each other early.

Hohmann beats Stalev 8-3 ... sometimes F5 does work :)

I believe that the match sequence was predetermined for all the other days except yesterday.

If you noticed rounds 1-4, they usually pit the top player on the scorecard versus the bottom player, 2nd player vs. 5th player, and 3rd vs. 4th for the first match of the day. They didn't follow that flow yesterday.

Though, looking at the scorecard today, I think the scorecard order just happens to turn out that they don't even have to muck with the predetermined order of matches. Coincidentally, the predetermined order they used for rounds 1-4 would work perfectly fine.

Don you gave me 9-7? How'd we end up? I'll have to remember this next time I'm in town.

Stalev would be perfect to headline the IPT tour. He has the heart of a lion and his stroke is pure poetry.

(PS Steve, I gave you 9-7 once in Santa Monica)
