Was anyone at the DCC to witness the play of Alex amd Jason when they won thier tour cards? What is everyones impression of Jason? Seems Alex got more press as runner up. (Of course he's more well known.)

There was a lot of praise for Jason following his great performances at DCC this year. Look down the threadlist in this section and I'm sure you'll find a few.

Jason certainly served notice that he's a player to be reckoned with. His moment in the sun has arrived, and he'll never be under the radar again!

Alex got a lot of press. Amazing how winning the 2004 WPC and the 2005 US Open will do that.

It is appropriate that Pagulayan's addition to the IPT should be the more celebrated of the two, but this does not reflect negatively on Miller, a star on the rise.

Another factor may simply be personalities. Alex is full of energy and quite animated, which naturally draws attention. Jason is considerably more quiet and appears to be reserved, when compared to Alex. I didn't speak to either of them so I can't say that Jason is reserved for sure. I'm simply comparing the difference in their personalities. Jason could be standing behind you and you would never know it. Alex, though small in nature, wouldn't be able to hide. :p

I've been a sweater before watching Jason play big money games. He is quiet by nature Timberly and not really an extrovert. A conversation with him is usually short and to the point. He's not real boastful, arrogant or anything like that.

I can't make any comments on his charcater because he doesn't say much or do you hear much about him anyway. So I think he's a nice guy. Will this new found popularity change him? No.

I've watched him a state tournaments and such. When he is in the zone it's fun to watch. I was watching him and Gary Spaeth warm up on a table banking balls before a team tournament. It seemed like 15 balls in 15 seconds effortlessly!

Right now the outside pressures of life have seemed to lighten up allowing him to play like he's really capable. I wish him all the luck...

By the way what do all the other big names out there think of him...curious?
