i will not talk about the future of the ipt, as you might have thought,in the sense that you may have thought, in other words, good or negitive, for that's up to kevin and the ratings, but i will talk about what i think the television coverage and the players will be like~~~~~~~ the television coverage in 2009 will be of 5 players and no more!!!!!!
right now, everyone is laughing at my pathetic record so far in the IPT, well i got news for you, by 2009 television coverage wise, 195 out of the 200 players will appear as pathetic as i am in 2006. what do i mean by this?????

good players such as myself,do very poorly on the ipt, very good players do ok,and nothing more, and world class players, do quite well, meaning, it's gonna be like golf, you will only see the top 5 players in the world, the rest will be considered good sports, with good compensation.
i am so glad i will not be on the IPT for 2007. here is why~~~~~
traveling to singapore, korea, australia and other far away places, playing all day and night, and having to lay out my own money for hotels and flights, then if i do poorly i only get $7,000 at the tournament, and in december get the rest to make up for the $100,000.here is my point, for world class players the IPT is a dream come true, for everyone else,it's a schlep, and a let down.
i wish the IPT and all it's 5 world class players good luck,i will have fun at the masters in chicago, and may pool reign as the biggest sport around.

That is the most "Sour Grapes" statement I have even heard. I also heard form one of the players who will not be there next year either how it is no good anyway and will fold. Funny how opinions changes when you are on the outside but at least the rest of us don't wish ill to the other players, we are just critiquing the IPT as a whole and wish the players well. You are not a very nice guy Bernie. I hope this coping method works well for you and you don't later jump off a bridge or something. Jealousy is not a very nice trait

Don't let people push you around, Bernie. You go ahead and jump off the bridge.....

Bernie

Sometimes its better just to walk away quietly, dontcha think? You had a chance to make it on the IPT (just like all of the other players) and you blew it. Whether or not you belonged there is up for debate, but dont toss grenades at the train that just hit you when you shouldn't have been walking on the tracks to begin with. Just a thought.

You sir are exactily right. Why in the world would you want a guaranteed $100,000 if you have to wait until December? It will be much more profitable playing in the local Wednesday night 9 ball tournaments I'm sure. In fact, you have given me an epiphany. I will quit my job making 6 figures and go on the road hustling at darts.

Bernie,

Don't burn any bridges. You still have an opportunity in front of you that people would pay thousands for. Double down. Practice hard and do whatever it takes to improve. Change your attitude, your diet, your practice, your conditioning. Find a good coach. It will definitely do you good, and you might just have a chance to win a few matches in Chicago and make it to next year. Who knows what you can accomplish? I'll tell you who, you. You're the only one who knows what you're capable of. If you believe you can do better, show us, don't tell us. And don't wallow in this negativity.

Cheers,
RC

Unfortunately, pool is a game of skill and the power of positive thinking won't help much. I have no sympathy for him at all after this last bitter post. He set himself up to take an embarrassing fall with his arrogance and lack of humility in the past, then his recent comments about Efrin are very telling what kind of guy he is. Back to selling retail Bernie professional pool just wasn't for you, you have to be able to play a little.

MG,

I don't disagree with you about pool being a game of skill. But with a negative mental attitude it is MUCH harder to practice, prepare or perform in a way that allows you to develop and use your skills at the highest level you can achieve.

Based on his posts, I think he needs a completely different approach if he wants to improve and have any chance to compete.

I don't have any sympathy for him, if anything, I envy his opportunity.

Cheers,
RC

i'm not sour at all,i had tons of fun,tv time, and a chance to meet great people and see great places, for that i am thankful,my point is,only the best of the best will be televised and glorified on the IPT by 2009,for those players who have what it takes, their in for the greatest billiard experience of their life's,for the other 95% of pool players, well~~~~what can i say?

Im starting to wonder if you recently bought a shotgun and a 6ft pair of shoes!

I hope you havent spoilt what will most likely be your last IPT event, as you seem to have pissed off all the Brits, Sigel, Efren, Ryan Kelly, and all the IPT Staff etc

It must be terrible to play in the IPT this year... Imagine what happens if you should get some good rolls in the last tournament, and finish among the 100... Shit, suddenly you would need to play another year too....

shit....

Guess you just would say no thanks, because it sucks to be among the best and earing 100 K a year just playing pool.... "Give me a real job" is what you want, and I understand you. Playing pool all day long is not good for anyone. Let's hope it's not gonna happen that someone can play pool for a living!!!

You need to look up what the saying Sour Grapes means.

is that really important to you? I saw your mug a couple times. You really wanted to be famous, eh Bernie? lol

what can i say?

You can say you stretched your 15 minutes into 30 and are now going for 45 :)

I would have given my spot up before the tour. You would have saved yourself alot of respect by doing so.

Sorry Bernie but.....
That is what it is all about. The highest ranked players will be televised and glorified because they are the most talented and best players out there.
The public certainly does not want to watch some banger miss every other shot (such as Bernie)!

Sponsors would like to see quality match play for their investment, not blow outs! ( as in whoever plays Bernie wins)

The best players don't need some ridiculous angle or incredible story to be famous and loved ( Bernie would like a WWF storyline with thrown chairs and such!)

People want to see great pool players play great pool! ( Bernie, you do not meet the criteria)

Bernie you made out like a bandit with this IPT.
0 wins and you made money! Amazing...

BTW,Please stop calling yourself a good pool player, we on the AZ board know this to be false.

If you could have bet this in Las Vegas, I could have been rich! You were a lock to lose every match. Darn!

Have a Nice Day:)

Rob
