Tor Lowry is STOKED, EXCITED and INSPIRED by Sgt. Robert Evans, US Army (RET)! Robert's determination paid off! The whole Zero-X Billiards team just knew Robert would be running out 9 Balls by the end of his '14 Days' challenge! Why? Because we could tell Tor believed in him. We could tell that Robert has unparallelled determination to be the best he can be at everything at which he chooses to excel. And, because we too are inspired by all Robert overcame to re-learn everything, including pool, after the tragic IED accident which cost him his dominant right hand during his service to our country while serving active duty in Iraq. We're all very humbled by, proud of and honored to have gotten to know Sgt. Robert Evans, US Army (RET) through his '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' challenge.

You too will be inspired to see the final results of Robert's '14 Day' challenge. We hope you'll truly understand how determination like his can be a primary ingredient to success in accomplishing anything you dream of achieving! Be sure to compliment him on his great success and determination - especially be grateful for his service to our country and the remarkable inspiration he will continue being for many people!

This episode is jam-packed! You'll see the first official excerpt from last year's participants from Pipestone, Minnesota - Shane Rath and Tim Rustad! We've been waiting a long time for this and there's even more to come in future upcoming episodes! That's all we'll say for now, except to let you know you should be prepared to witness some incredible transformations in pool, and it couldn't happen to nicer guys! Truly, Tim and Shane are wonderful, as are the other people you'll meet in upcoming episodes containing footage from our time in Pipestone, Minnesota!

Finally, we'll introduce you to Bryan Bell, of Peyton, Colorado! Tor's excited about working with Bryan. Why? Because he can already see great potential in Bryan! Bryan will be participating in a big pool tournament in just days and Tor wants to do anything he can to help Bryan be his best! Bryan already has some great skills, so Tor's convinced he can, in just a few short days, teach Bryan more about pattern selection and playing great safeties - things he will need to add to his pool arsenal to achieve that next level he's been striving to reach!

Tor met Bryan in Las Vegas during the 2013 season of '14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' and took some time to watch him play; even filming him, in order to analyze his level of play, possibly to spot any deficiencies in his game prior to his arrival to work with him in training. Tor had a feeling he was going to make a determination early on that Bryan wouldn't need a whole lot to propel him to the next level, and after only one day, he knows he was right!

Tor and the whole Zero-X Billiards team, always feels excited when any pool player can achieve their pool objectives and fulfill their dreams, so sit back, relax and watch these awesome people meet; even exceed their pool objectives - just one step closer to their dreams becoming reality!

Really Scott?
Do you really want to dredge up old news that was never proven in the first place.

And then piss all over a perfectly good thread about Tor trying to do something good
For pool.

I thought you were better than that. Apparently not. Maybe the next thread you start, we should drop in and FK it up for you.

Thanks for the good wishes.

BTW. Did you invent everything you know and teach or perhaps some of your material is borrowed as well.

Sounds like a tiny bit of professional jealousy to me. Yes?

Can't make movies or teaching DVDs like Tor and his brother.
Penis feeling a bit small tonight perhaps?

Wasn't it you that was accused of teaching students while drunk. No, of course not. We shouldn't believe everything that we read on the Internet.

With the cost of hotels , lugging equipment around , gasoline etc. , i don't see Tor making a whole lot of money off this , must be a labor of love in there a little , maybe a pot of aluminum cans to recycle at the end of the rainbow .Tor should check in with the gate keepers of the pool world before he gets all uppity and does something with out their permission or at least buy them a beer even though they left the gate unlocked .

Great.....another reality show............

This Reality Show has been filming for almost one year. Zero X is now going into their second year of filming. (ie. Lowry Brothers - Google it.)

No one has even attempted something like this. The only requirement to the training is that you "Pay it Forward". There is no cost to the students.

How many pro instructors out there would every provide pool training at no cost?

There are a lot of folks out there that would like to play better or take their game to the next level. Zero X is doing just that.

There are no "Gate Keepers" of the pool world. Its an individual game. Zero X can teach you how to miss less shots............but only you can become a champion. Can't teach you that.

Have fun and thanks for the comments. :-)

Week One in Arkansas Completed

Begin Post:

'14 Days - The Great Pool Experiment' - Week One with Justin Wray, Tony Lee Burch and Butch Jette in Arkansas. In this episode, after filming each participant playing the ghost, Tor Lowry works with them on fundamentals, including stroke issues, stable bridges, stances, pre-shot routines and follow through.

By Day two, each player completes several hundred stroke drills and moves on to ball pocketing drills, including hitting targets with the cue ball.

In order to learn how to play position, Tor advances them to half-table pattern play, working on angles and speed control.

Watch each player advance further to read patterns and correctly move the cue ball around the table. By Day five, each player begins full-table pattern play and are joined by their friend Alex, who also wants to learn to be a better player.

Through full-table pattern play, each player is found to have multiple problem shots, making Tor Lowry decide to dedicate a full day of their training to having them work to remove these problems so they may continue working on pattern play.

Tor Lowry is excited to advance each of them again to full-table pattern play, continuing to remove their problem shots and is convinced each player is on track to reaching their pool objectives; further that they will continue using their new skills, practicing diligently as they continue their quest to become better players!

I'm Justin Wray and one of his current participants. I'll be starting a new thread detailing my 14 Day Experience after my final day (April 28th).

There aren't enough positive superlatives to describe this training.

Stay tuned!

Is his tour and participants set for this year?

Yes, and 2015 is filling up quickly. It appears Tor and ZeroX will also be traveling to Europe possibly in 2015.

However, it still may worth your while to fill out an application, there is always the possibility of a cancellation this year.

Have fun.

I'm looking forward to seeing the end of my episode.

I can tell you this, I FEEL much better at the table. I play better. Also, I'm improving at a quicker rate than ever. It feels like I discover something about myself, and the game, every day that I play.

Pool is unbelievably exciting for me right now.

Tor is the Johnny Appleseed of pool instruction. Spreading the knowledge across this great country.
