Okay folks just had a double hill thriller!!!!
Landon and Ashcraft - Landon got a little quick on a bank after Ashcraft scratched on the break. Really good match - kid showed a lot of heart under the pressure.

This should be a really good finals!!! The battle of the breaks!! Russ has been hittin' the balls pretty solid all day. Brandon's break has been workin' for him the whole tournament.
Landon was really happy w/ his performance here @ Diamonds. He had a great third place finish. He left with that great smile on his face ready for a schoolday in the morning.

The Choo- Choo Classic here at Diamond Billiard Club in Chattanooga, TN has come to a close. Brandon Ashcraft beat Russ Edwards 9-7. The finals were very exciting. Thought we would have a dbl. hiller but Russ got a bad roll to tie it up 8-8. He gave Brandon ball in hand when he fouled on a 4-9 combo. That was the game winning shot for Ashcraft. We had a great turn out for the tourney. The staff at Diamonds are very courteous- the owners Billy Bailey and Dave Crockett run a top notch room. All Diamond bar tables along w/ 2 Diamond 9 footers. Cliff Joyner has been in action all day after getting knocked out of the tourney by Wade Crane and then Barry Boney.

Hey JAM....... Happy Holidays to you and Keith. I sure do hope you and Keith can make it up to Turning Stone Casino in February. Won't be the same without you. i would also love to see Shannon Daulton come up there and play. He would love that set up and place.................mike
I'm subbing this morning and to boot I am Landon's teacher for Language Arts and Spelling. Landon has joined me at the computer and wants to thank everyone for their support and nice comments. He likes the idea of being 13 but that won't happen until next summer.
I will share one little moment after one of Landon's matches. I was playing and did not get to see the match. After the match... I asked Landon how his opponent played and he responded in serious manner, "I don't know. He didn't get to shoot." Landon ran the first 5 racks of that set.
Special thanks go to Shannon and Marge. It's events like this that provide the kind of opportunities that players need in order to develop. These tour events are greatly needed and it looks like the The Great Southern Tour will provide about 25 of them in the coming year.
Diamond Billiard Club did a superb job in hosting the tourney. A big thanks go to Dave and Bill.
