The Carolina Cup VII at Gametime Nightlife & Sports Bar in Greenville, SC is underway. Top players in attendance are: Johnny Archer, Larry Nevel, Shannon Daulton, Gabe Owen, Jeremy Jones, Stevie Moore, Johnathan Hennessee, & Louis Ulrich. This is a wonderful tourney with 50 players battling it out for the CASH!!! Round one matches are almost complete. Johnny "The Scorpion" Archer & Larry "The Truth" Nevel bumped heads in round one with Nevel coming out on top. Some great round two match ups are:

Louis Ulrich / Shannon "The Cannon" Daulton

Johnathan Pinegar "Hennessee fromTennessee" / Jeremy Jones "Double J"

Dave Crockett (owner of Diamond Billiard Club) and former WPBA pro Nicki Benish are in a heated battle. It is great to see her playing again.

Wish i could stayed longer marge but had to get back to help wife, and yes it is a great tour out of great players, and good to se by friend nikie playing again, and thanks for remering this old man!! you do a great job. !!!!STICK:D :D :D :confused: :confused: :confused:

Man......that sounds like the place to be.:( (wish I coulda come)

It didn't work out for me this weekend but I will see you guys in a couple of weeks. If you get a chance either you or him give me a call in a little while.

back in my day..(about 13 years ago..lol)..greenville was a great place for action..wish i could be there now...
 
Wow...I thought Nikki had retired! That is great to hear of her playing again. She did a couple of exhibition tours across Montana, a few years ago, and was very popular!

13, 14, 15 yrs ago, Greenville was the place to be. There was always good action at Don's place "The Golden Cue" but then Jerry Banks opened "on the break" and started backing players. His stable consisted of Shannon Daulton, Little Tony & Cliff Joyner to name a few. It wasn't long before Johnny Archer and Tony Ellin were in the pool room everyday. Road players came from everywhere... MO, TX, CA, everywhere. Those few yrs were some of the best action I've ever seen.

Dont leave out jimmys place in easley, i spent alot of time there watching jimmy [prettyboy] playing as well as archer, tony ellin, the canadian?? before jimmy moved!!!:D :D :D :D
