I was trying to get a hold of Scotty Townsend and googled The HOle Thang, a pool room where Scotty plays on the third Saturday of most months and was impressed by what I found although I didn't get Scotty's number.

THe Hole Thang is in Macon, GA and is owned by a David Poole whom I haven't met but he has a rather nice size establishment and he has a great little video commercial on his blog.

I wasn't too impressed with 25 square feet

I wasn't too impressed when I read 25 square feet in the title. Then I figured you were putting on airs and trying to go european on us. Sure 'nuff, 25,000 sq. ft.! That is some serious floor space. I thought one of my shops was big at 15,000 sq. ft.

Buff's free feeds are mighty fine but it's been a long time since I got around a mess of good ribs. I'm thinking $25 would be about a free entry for me counting the damage I could do at the rib table!

There's only 150 lbs of smoked ribs and since a pool player's diet is like that of a fox: Chicken today, feathers tomorrow; you should get there early. LOL

The guys there put on a good show....

Nice place on a not so nice side of town... but they keep it clean inside.. if you know what I mean :D

It is a former bowling alley that is chiked full of bar boxes... and a few 9ftrs tucked in the back... even a snooker table or two thrown in for good measure.

Legend has it that the Pearl learned a lot about playing there while it was a bowling alley... they had a table(s) and he used to kill many a afternoon there...

I was there, at the beginning of this year like 3rd of january I think. Great people there and it is true about Earl. That was the first pool room he really played at. I went there with him and you could see the memorys flooding back to him in his eyes when we walked in.
When you walk up to the place the store from is about 10ft across. I looked at it and asked myself " How the hell do they have any tables fit in this place?" Then you open the door and go downstairs where it opens ups and I am guessing covers the whole strip mall's basement. Serious players there.
