Curious... say Efren or any top or past pro shows up at your place. How does s/he make money? Do players line up for the honor of playing the great and pay him/her $50 or whatever to get beat? How much money? Are they paid a guarantee from the house, how does this work? Do they gamble? Thanks.

In my experience, they dont visit to hang out.

They usually have a prearranged game or intend to practice.

They will play. I wouldnt expect to get played without a minimum per game bet of about 20 for 9b or 50 for 1p.

Expect to bet more like 200+ for a race to 7 9b, or to 3 for 1p.

Yes, you can have a spot and yes, you can bet more.

1.Always bet on the guy with the out of state tag on his car.
2.The fastest horse doesn't always win the race, but it's still smart to bet on him.
Good guidelines for any profit center.

How many screen names have you had here?

Efren charges a fee here in the Philippines and the bar charges a fee to challenge him. You can also play him for money if hes around town and you can get ahold of Bong.

That sounds about right. Efren comes to Santa Monica sometimes. He plays 200 a set of 1p and makes relatively fair games.
