The Hustler hits blu-ray!

There's some COOL snippets of the making of the movie, behind-the-scenes trailers, with the Blu-ray. :)

Can't pass this one up! Thanks for letting us know.

A great movie, from the beginning:

FE: Quiet, like a church.
C: More like a morgue, and those tables are the slabs they lay the stiffs on.
FE: I'll be alive when I get out.

to the end:

FE: Fat man, you shoot a great game of pool.
MF: So do you, Fast Eddie.

Funny how a few lines from a movie can give a person chills. :)

I have to fast forward thru the thumb breaking scene every time i watch the movie.

Since you might have missed it:

TB: There's your money, boy. There's your money, boy. Wait! Let's give this boy his money. We always pay what we lose, boy. But we got no use for hustlers 'round here.

FE: <scream 1>
FE: <scream 2>

Let me rephrase that:

the first several hundred times i watched the movie i watched the scene.

The last several hundred i fast forwarded thru it.

But thanks,

Fats (played by Jackie Gleason) says to the rack boy (played by Willie Mosconi), "Rack 'em, Sausage."

you must have been watching a different movie.

Fats (played by Jackie Gleason) says to the rack boy (played by Willie Mosconi), "Rack 'em, Sausage."

willie did not rack any balls & he did not play the role of sausage.
no biggie, we all make mistakes.

My bad. I'm going to have to watch that movie again. By my own admission, it's been a long while since I've seen it. :embarrassed2:

Thanks for the correction. :)

Who did play Sausage?

Sausage

I found this cast listing but, Sausage isn't named. Could he be the scorekeeper? Willie played Willie

I apologize for the 'copy & paste' format, I tried to clean it up.

In the movie Fats referred to Mr. Mosconi as Willie, and said something like Willie, hold the stake money. Sausage is probably something you had for breakfast, or read in the 14.1 forum.

Can't believe this movie is almost 50 years old.

SAUSAGE RACKED & KEPT SCORE.

YOU WOULD THINK HE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE CREDITS SINCE HE HAD A SPEAKING PART: "125, GAME"
