THis might make you sick but when Efren got his first Moochi cue in '96, he and his best friend Alex took it to Judd ( he was in Riverside Calif. then ).Varney Cues said:Nope...it can NEVER be duplicated. Bata owns the patent.![]()

AND had it tapered down to 12 mm.Efren also requested the FERRULE to have a little conical taper. He did not like a straight ferrule.
Oh yeah, the same exact shaft, he took upstairs at Hollywood Billiards and played 3-cushion with. I kid you not.
Efren was so used to his very skinny shaft on that $15 Jessie cue. But the shaft on that one came from a bowling alley floor. It was an old growth maple. And it was very stiff for a 12 mm shaft with at least 16 inches of barrel. Had a real expensive cueball ferrule too. That cheapo weighed like 23 oz and 61" long. The domino rings were painted on. Prolly with a nail polish. I tried it one time and it had an ugly balance and feel but it was a pocketing machine. It sold for a lot more than $15 when Efren sold it.
It's true.masonh said:that makes pretty good sense Joey.
