The elder Pin Yi is supposed to be about 21...??? He just trounced SVB in the finals of the Guinness tourny. The younger brother Ping-Chun, 15 yrs old... They will only get better... with a few years of seasoning. Especially with the pool training "academies" the Taiwanese utilize.

They WILL get better. They will gain experience, knowledge, and learn things from other seasoned pros in their "growing". This does not necessarily equate into winning tournaments on a consistent basis, but I'll bet these two brothers will take home a few championships in their lifetimes. There is a LOT of up-and-coming talent out there for them to compete with. Asian players are poising themselves up to dominate both men and womens pool in the near future. The others had best be on the ball or they're gonna be suckin' dust :grin:!!!

I guess you and I are the only one's that appreciate the "boy's" from Taiwan? They played well beyond their years on a big stage--against some of the best players in the world on their home court.
I hate to say "We" told U so.
For the next few decades... The pool world is gonna have to deal with them as they mature.
 
I find younger Pin Yi needs a little more seasoning which i am sure thats what he'll get, but i saw him beat his elder brother badly like 11-1 in a match up. They both had another younger brother who also plays pool. Watch out for him in a few years time if he is any good.

Are there any matches of these young guns anywhere on line. I believe that young talented players from anywhere can only help pool, although of course I am pulling for the US of A.
