Great drill, lots of things going on here. Precision cueing, speed control etc. You master this drill you're definately not a ball banger anymore

based on the distance between the balls and the last ball not frozen to the rail
i am not sure he is doing all 15 balls
still a difficult drill

Good eye. Looks like he is using 12 and not the full 15-ball rack.

A good way to keep track of your progress is to play the L drill as a progressive practice. Start with maybe 7 balls. If you can do the drill two out of three, add a ball. If you can't, go down to 6 balls and try again. If you do this for a while -- easier if you fail and harder if you succeed on 2 of 3 -- you will eventually find the number where you are 50%. At the start, the L will be smaller.

Figuring out how to space the balls is important. For all 15 the 8th ball goes on the spot and the first two spaces on each side are the size of a ball.

You can set yourself sub-tasks. Try to run as many as possible at the start without touching a rail. Try to use one rail every time. Or two rails.

Gets outta line like most. If those were music drills, they'd never pass a first grade jury. The "proper" way to do line drills is with perfect cue ball. In other words, with a single type of cue ball action. Try it sometime.
I agree, completing a drill without a miss is not necessarily a successful drill. It’s a CB control drill so I think if you get out of line practice the shot that got you out of line, basically call it a failed attempt instead of continuing the drill. Just my take, I know I’ve wasted so much time over the years not practicing what I need to practice.

I need to practice this drill way more often. I play on 4 1/4 corner table and I don’t think I’ve ever ran 15 balls. I seem to hang a ball or two somewhere in the drill. Give me a bucket GC and I’d probably get it done. I’m probably an overrated player.

I voted 1-3 easy drill, but it is not easy. I can only do it now with some consistency because I practiced it.
