The Larry Vigus case.

I live outside the States (Dominican Rep.)and started playing almost 2 years ago. In here we don't have a single cue maker and we don't have a store where you can find a good cue. I bought several cues from a friend who bought them in the states (lucasi, predators, McDermotts, etc.).

I'm 6'3 and needed a longer cue, I couldn't find one, so I decided to try a custom. Was saving for that, and the TRENT - MERIDIAN BLADES soap came to scene. I became afraid of sending my hard earned money to a cue maker. But in my necesity of a longer cue I had to take a decision. So I started looking for a cuemaker and decided to give Larry Vigus (63Kcode) a try.

Asked him for an already made cue butt of 31 inches. He offered me a purpleheart merry widow at a very modest price. "Scared" I paypaled him the money and wow, this guy is a EXTREMELY RESPONSIBLE cue maker, everything on time.

About the craftsmanship: ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, perfect balance and a beautifull simple cue.

The purpose of this is to give the guy the credit he deserves. I bet that all of you would post your bad experience with sellers and cue makers, but only a few will post the good ones.

In the end, if you want a great budget cue give Larry a try.
 
Larry is a super stand up kind of guy...and he makes great playing cues to boot!

On a side note, There are plenty of "good-guys" on here making some seriously nice cues. You just have to weed thru the swamp to get to the ocean...

I have to agree with you 100% about Larry(63Kcode). He is a great guy to do business with. I have one of his cues and love it. Matter of fact, I just got back from the pool hall and it still shoots amazing just like day 1 when I got it. He made me an extra shaft for mine. The one I have is a very solid shooter.

He is also making me a matching jump break to go with my playing cue. I can't wait to get it.

If you are wanting a great shooter at a great price with excellent quality craftsmanship give Larry a call or a PM. You will not be dissapointed at all. I'm a very satisfied customer.

When I read the title I thought he started making cases that I didn't know about and was going to have to get me one...or two.

Larry's work shows a commitment to giving his customers a quality cue. I've got two of his 60" cues and I couldn't be happier. I'd probably order a couple more if I thought I could do that and stay married ;).

Oh yeah........and just as nice a guy as you'll ever meet!!!

Glad to hear you had such a great experience with Larry and his work! I would be surprised otherwise. I went to highschool with Larry and can't think of anyone that ever had a bad thing to say about him. He's a good man! I hope to play with one of his cues someday, but for now I'll just have to be impressed with pics of his good work. Thanks for the positive post!!!!!!!!!
 
I heard he was a scum bag! Guess that's what I get for listening to my wife.

Y'all can blame/thank Mikey(Palmetto Cue) for this. Four years ago, before I discovered AZB, I asked if he though I could make a cue. He was very supportive and sent me a list of suppliers. Thank you Mikey and thank everyone for the kind words!
