Just cuz I like the guy from what I’ve seen. And I feel bad that pool didn’t blow up when he was in his prime. It’s easy to disperse other people’s cash man 😎

I don’t think he got his million for that run did he? Some kinda drawn out story I vaguely remember reading.
 
$h!+. I was hoping to watch him get into the 300s this afternoon. Damned scratch. At least it wasn’t a miss or a snooker. But it still killed the run. ☹️

As far as you Glen you have never been positive about anything and thats ok but we will continue to do our event as we want to and you or anyone else can organize and put up your time and finances and do it your way and we would support it even if we didnt agree because thats what everybody should do is support and help pool. Lou said everything correct and that is our stance. Maybe down the road we will invite John but he has alot to do and change for him to be invited. We have NEVER SAID anyone wouldnt be allowed to play but if john wants to ever play then he certainly isnt helping anything out by his actions. I hope you change your ways also and use your knowledge to stay positive and help pool and its a new year so maybe you will change your ways.

Perhaps a world record for making two balls on a shot. I have only watched briefly a few times and it struck me how many shots resulted in two balls being pocketed.

So 218, or possibly a 140 yesterday and then a 78 today*.

*I don't think I would have any problem with a run carrying over from one day to the next, providing the player did not strike any pool/billiard ball whatsoever (on any table) between the two sessions -- just as he can't on shorter timeouts/breaks.

Edit -- and another condition I might require for the carryover run would be that, between the two sessions, the player did not view or read anything that could be considered educational about pool.

[It's getting tougher, eh? But getting some food and rest doesn't really bother me.]

From the photos you provided, it doesn’t necessarily seem like it curved around that striped ball nearest the end rail, as that striped ball was still moving before the cue ball crossed its path. The cue ball appeared to stay directly on that straight line you drew from the end rail first diamond to the side pocket on its entire path from the end rail to the side pocket.

Yes, certainly very unfortunate that the cue ball squeezed right between the 9 ball and the 3 ball on its way to the side pocket.

Seeing what I saw today, I can easily see a younger, more focused Earl running 480, whatever his style.

Is it optimal? No. If he did shoot with optimal strategy I think he could run 7-800.
