Alright, guys. Let's get a list of all the obscure games out there involving a table and a cue. Games like bottle pool and bumper pool. I saw an L shaped table once too. I didn't get to play on it, but I sure as hell wanted to.

When I was 5 yrs old we played a game using little disks. The table was very small, like 4x4. I don't remember any rails on the table and I can't remember how exactly it was played. But I do remember hitting those little disks (kinda like checker pieces) into each other with a stick. If anybody is familiar with this game, let me know what exactly it is. All I can remember is that I thought I was pretty good at it. But who knows. I was barely out of diapers.

The goal of eBar Billiards™ is to outscore the other player before the bar drops at the end of a game.

During the playing period, players use a cue to strike a ball up the table so that it falls down a hole of the player's choice. There are nine holes, scoring from 1-20 points each depending upon the difficulty. Putting a red ball into any hole secures double points for that player's current score. All balls are returned back to the front of the table to be played again. Three foul skittles are placed near high-scoring holes. If either of the two red skittles is bumped, the current player’s turn is finished and any points made during that turn are lost. Worse, if the black skittle is bumped, that player’s entire score is reset to zero--certainly a bad event for that player. If one player does not score points with a shot, the other player is up.

Eventually, the time runs out, and a bar drops inside the table preventing any more balls from returning to be replayed from the front of the table. Some holes then lose the ability to score points. Play continues with the remaining balls on the table. The last ball must drop into the 20-point hole, which just happens to be located quite near the fatal black skittle. A wrong move here could change the outcome of winner/loser. The game finish is commonly fraught with tension.


The player with the most points wins.

The game can be played solo by one individual, two competitors or by two opposing teams.

Line-Up

I learned the game of pool starting with this version of straight pool called Line-up(there is probably an official name for it but I don't know what it is). You start the game as if it were 14-1, usually a safety. You shoot the same as you would in 14-1, at anything. Run as many as possible. After you miss you bring all the balls you made back on the table, but you put them in a straight line starting with the 1st one on the spot and stringing them to the back rail in a straight line. Only 11 will fit so if you have more they would go in front of the spot. If you run all 15, line them up again and keep shooting. It will really teach you how to find dead frozen shots and kiss shots.

We called it Skittle Pool. I was playing it for pennies when I was six.

HAHAHA a true gambler at heart. I think I got you beat though. I made my first bet when I was 4. I remember it clearly because it was also my first kiss.
