Hello fellow players,

I sure like the sound of this title and only wish that someday soon someone will make the DVD for all of us to enjoy.

Maybe THE ACTION REPORT guys or Pat Fleming with Accustats???

I can just see Efren sitting down and at the pool table with cameras and friends doing this documentary...Maybe Jay Helfert and Billy Incaradona and Rolondo Vincente would be there at his side to help with the production and translations and stories...

I have the VHS tape of this that was done with Eddie Taylor and it is one of my most valued tapes in my collection..

In golf...I believe that there was a documentary with Bobby Jones Jr. that is very valuable to many...


I sure hope that someone sees the potential of something great here that we could do with our Champions and I know sales would do well...

I sure feel that this would be a very good thing and lets hope it will happen while there is still time and not lose the opportunity for something like this...

How about Buddy Hall and Jim Rempe...

There are many road players out there that would be great to document as well...

Warren Costanzo comes to mind for me at the moment...( MONK ) He stayed with me at my home many times and what a life he has had ...all the good times ,bad times, hard times, humble beginnings and ups and downs of always going after the game in so many ways...

The potential and opportunities for something really special just needs to be done I feel...

Buddy Hall movie or book

Buddy Hall movie or book would be such a great idea to preserve this legends story.The "monk" story would be very interesting as well.

There has already been a Buddy Hall book...(Rags to Rifleman)...

It is great book and quite a long read too...you should still be able to find it with some research on the internet...

Rags to Rifleman is......"ok" to read.

The print is super small.

The organization of the book is "ok"...but why the freak did this WOODY guy write it as a duel biography, including his own life story in there? Nobody cares about those parts......I just didn't get it.

I really think someone could do a 'better' job of writing Buddy's life story than Woody's version.

I'd love to read a book about NICK VARNER, JOHNNY ARCHER, MIKE SIGEL, BUGS RUCKERS, STEVE MIZERAK...the list goes on and on.

However what I think would be nice to have is a live sitdown in front of cameras and with a table near by as well as significant people there with the live champion to tell the story completely..

With todays modern technology and equipment....

Some really great DVD's could be produced for all of us to collect and enjoy..

Whenever there is a live stream with say Johnny Archer and you can write-in questions and get answers now from the man himself...well,,,everyone seems to really like that and go crazy over it. There is just nothing like it when you hear it from the man or woman themselves...and also get to see them there on screen telling it how it was and is...

Hopefully these potential DVD's would be at least 1.5 hrs long and hopefully 2hr's minimum...???

I'd consider producing a documentary about Reyes., but I'm not knowledgeable enough about the guy. I'd need someone like Jay to pull it off, as he would know tons of history on the guy, as well as have the hook ups to be able to dig up the right for all the old footage.
 
I'd love to see that style of documentary about Earl Strickland. Hear him talk about his early days as a teenager gambling and how he practiced. A documentary about Buddy Hall or Nick Varner would be great too. I wish someone like Ken Burns would do something like this.
