Open after the break. Safety was called. In the rules of Call Shot (Ball and Pocket), pocketing a ball (except the 8-ball) on a safety in 8-ball is allowed in most rulesets.

I think that only recently in the ever-evolving rules of 10-ball is this not the case.
 
I know these kids, and I know they have spent some time playing Shane also. There was a video of Taylor playing 9 ball against Shane in a short race.
 
I'm not super familiar with the ratings systems, but know platinum is the best. Was there one platinum division for kids, and another one for adults? Or did these kids beat all of the adults in a single platinum divison?

Only one platinum division in the Scotch Doubles event.

Taylor also won the women's Platinum Singles 8-ball event, beating Vivian Villarreal.

And they used the Fargo rates to split the divisions.
