My son is a good junior player (he's 18 now so out of the junior events this year), from 14-17 he has finished top 25% in the country at Nationals every year, last finish was top 8 of like 70 kids in the upper age group. He is probably one of top 4 kids his age in New England, he has won or come in second a lot in the state championships.
He was playing ping pong in gym with someone at school and beat them. The kid he payed said "OK, you got me at ping pong but if we played pool I will beat you, I have a table at home."
