i bought the monk's 101 dvd set because his website states that there is a "100% ironclad six month money back guarantee".

well, i got them in and was not very impressed with them. i email the monk and he says send them back no problem. i just got my refund and they took out 15% for a restocking fee! what happened to 100%? what kind of bs is that? they should have said "85% ironclad six month money back guarantee".

i don't remember seeing any fine print. i just tried to go back and look but the page won't load up. i'll go back and look later but i am almost positive it wasn't there.

you are right. at least i didn't get stung for all of it. just have to write that off. i see that you guys are already privy to the monk. i had to learn my lesson the hard way.

You may not have appreciated his tutorials, but by this standard his fine print is a master class in the art. None of this wishy-washy small print rubbish for The Monk. That's proper fine print that is.

Thanks for telling us how crappy the Monk DVD is and his phony 100%. I am tired of all the false promises and other BS. The 15% is probably the cost of the DVD, the rest being all profit. He wins either way.

DVDs can be produced in quantities of a few hundred with color album cover and color hub for about $2.50 each. But I don't think the DVD needs to be thrown away when returned.

Dont sweat the 15% loss.Most people think that the monk is a punk.
 
I bought the first video in his series... what a piece of crap. The first couple of minutes were ok when the pool hall wasn't busy. But once the place got busy, I couldn't hear him over the background noise. Rule #1 in instructional pool video making... get a dam private room! Oh well, at least I was able to tape over the video with some good stuff... porn. :D
 
Ever see him Play ?

:confused: I watched him play at South Padre Island two years ago and wasn't very impressed, he couldn't run 3 balls in the two matches I watched him play. But to be perfectly honest, his books are pretty good, I realize a good coach doesn't have to be a good player.
