Like I have posted in another thread, I'm very happy with the OB Classic. This is the first of the OB products I've ever used, so can't comment on the OB1 or the OB2. My personal experience with the Predator products was always a sacrifice situation. For me I had to give up the solid feel of hit, and the forward balance feel of the shaft for the reduction in deflection. With the Zshaft, deflection was eliminated so much that it made playing comical for me. So, with the Predator products, it was either too much of an absence of deflection, or losing the 'feel' I like with a traditional shaft.
The OB Classic seems to bridge that gap for me. Although not as 'crispy' as a tight grained traditional shaft, it still hits on the better side of dink as opposed to thud. And it feels as if I have a significant hunk of wood resting on my bridge hand. And, the deflection is noticably less while at the same time not reduced to the point of being ridiculous. It reduced deflection just enough to eliminate the guessing game while keeping things real.
