I have been playing pool for about 2.5 years now starting in a college fraternity basement. I consider myself an intermediate player that runs some 8 ball racks, struggles a little more in 9ball, and need work on consistency and CB control. When I first got started playing, I practiced by shooting racks only. As I have realized where I want my game to be, I have started playing less racks and focusing more on drills and practice shots.
So I guess my questions are how to break my mediocracy and take it to the next level? thats probably pretty broad and an easy statement to throw out there, but: Am I on the right path of focusing more heavily on drills, while still shooting some racks? Are there any must have instructional DVD's? I now have a house and picked up a table, but find myself still struggling with shots I've been trying to overcome for awhile. Thanks for any suggestions!
